So charming, you want me to raise Pokémon?

Chapter 103: Choose 1 of 2

Chapter 103: Choose 1 of 2

As engine power decreases, the distance between Hunter J and the spaceship is steadily closing.

The fact that the enemy could accurately pursue the spaceship means they had a way to locate it. At this point, it's too late to activate stealth.

The propulsion system has malfunctioned, and the spacecraft's speed is only decreasing, while its altitude is also continuously decreasing.

"What should we do about Wei Xin?" Lillie asked hurriedly.

Judging from Hunter J's beast-like expression, there is clearly no possibility of reconciliation.

"Ditch the cargo hold and reduce weight!" Wei Xin said.

Give up, Hunter J! I am Captain Sparrow Weixin, whom you can never have!

Lillie and Wei Xin's operating system, the hatch opened, and Hunter J watched helplessly as his cargo fell from the sky and sank into the East Huang sea, his molars almost grinding to powder.

That's all her money, her money!

Anger lashed out like a whip, lashing the body of the Mega Salamence beneath it. The two increased their speed once more, braving the intense wind pressure as they relentlessly closed in on the slowly descending spaceship.

"We've thrown everything out of the cargo hold, but it's still not fast enough. There's nothing left to throw away."

"Aren't there still many crew members on the spaceship?" Wei Xin opened all the hatches except for the main cabin and announced to the entire spaceship.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news to tell you. The spaceship is about to explode, so if you don't want to die, get off this spaceship immediately."

You call this good news?

The spaceship's siren was deafening. The hunters inside didn't care whether the news was true or false. They were just there to work, and they only earned a little money each month. There was no need to risk their lives.

So they all put on their gear, just like the students sitting on high-rise buildings in their junior and senior high school days, around lunchtime, who had fantasized countless times about jumping out of the cabin, parachuting, deploying their wings and jetpacks, and scattering to escape.

But what they didn't know was that what awaited them on this trip was not freedom, but a trap already laid by the Eastern Alliance.

Seeing his subordinates rushing away, Hunter J's face was beyond ferocious; it looked as if Cangjie (the legendary inventor of Chinese characters) should crawl out of his grave and create a new character just for her.

She lost her goods, her subordinates, and her sugar daddy. Now, even if she manages to get the spaceship back, her career as a Pokémon hunter is completely ruined.

Now, she is all alone. Having lost everything, her intense anger even overwhelms her body. The intense acceleration causes her pain, like being in a pressure cooker, and she chases after the spaceship like a vengeful spirit crawling out of hell.

The Salamence opened its mouth and bit a huge hole in the spaceship.

"Hunter J is catching up, what do we do?" Lillie asked.

Wei Xin turned his head and looked out the window. He felt a special power and vaguely saw a blue figure moving towards him from a great distance.

Perhaps they are reinforcements, but it's unclear what their chances are if they fight Hunter J.

"Let's run, and wait for reinforcements to arrive," Wei Xin programmed the spaceship to slow down, buying time for the reinforcements to arrive. "We're starting a race against time."

……

Annoying alarms blared incessantly, and the dim red light from the ceiling illuminated the messy road. The sound of footsteps echoed through the spaceship as Wei Xin, carrying Ralts on his back, led everyone in a run down the corridor.

Wei Xin: "Ralts, how far away is Hunter J?"

Ralts closed her eyes and, using her telepathic abilities, sensed the presence of everyone around her.

"Ralts!" Ralts pointed downstairs and held up the number one.

"On the next floor, is that right?"

Wei Xin initially planned to sneak away from Hunter J and see if he could find something like a flight wing or jetpack along the way, so he could make a quick getaway or hold out a little longer. Unfortunately, he failed, and his inventory, along with the warehouse, was thrown into the sea.

The only way to play tag with Hunter J is inside the spaceship, but unfortunately this time, there's no mechanism to revive someone just by touching them.

"Lillie, can you still run?" Wei Xin asked.

"It's alright. I exercise regularly at home so that I won't hold anyone back in times like this."

"If you jump into the sea from 10,000 meters high, can you swim to shore safely?" Wei Xin asked, even though the effects of the protein powder had not yet worn off and he still had some energy left.

However, Samurai, Sea Lion, and Mibrim were all nearing their physical limits because they had only recently been freed from petrification and hadn't eaten.

"Ten thousand meters in the air, you might as well let me go and fight Hunter J hand-to-hand," Lillie said. At ten thousand meters in the air, it doesn't matter whether it's water or concrete below, because in the end, it can't be pieced together anyway.

As expected, humans have their limits. Wei Xin sighed and looked at the little Eevee at his feet: "If only you could evolve into a Flying-type Eevee and take us flying, I would accept it even if you grew two wings on your head."

"Eevee!" Eevee rolled her eyes at the trainer. How ugly would it be if it had two wings on its head? She, Eevee, would rather die today—die here, die outside, die…

As she ran, Ibu's pupils suddenly contracted. In an instant, the surrounding environment lost its color, and a strange sense of unease washed over her. She felt that something dangerous was about to happen.

None of the directions are right; it's below. The enemy is about to attack from below, and their target is...

Eevee looked at the ground, its sharp claws piercing through the metal floor, accurately predicting where the trainer would land.

It's the trainer! Someone is going to attack her trainer.

Perhaps it was the bond between Eevee and its trainer that overcame the ability to avoid danger. Just like when Wei Xin suddenly entered the spaceship, Eevee's body reacted before its brain. A white light emanated from its body, and it became a blur, crashing into Wei Xin's waist and knocking him and Ralts apart.

Wei Xin crashed into the wall and before he could react, he saw two claws rise up from the ground and pin Eevee and Lillie against the ceiling.

"Finally, we've got you."

The metal ground was corroded by the venom. Using the power of the Dragon King Scorpion's pincers, Hunter J rode the Dragon King Scorpion and leaped in front of Wei Xin, a wide grin spreading across his face.

"No, I've caught you."

Without a moment's hesitation, Ralts, using telepathy, knew Wei Xin's plan and activated Instant Transmission. Wei Xin's figure flashed, landing behind Hunter J. His arm wrapped around Hunter J's neck and was caught by the other arm, completing a rear naked choke.

There are no rules in wild battles, so even attacking a trainer won't be condemned. Since the other party is a terrorist, Wei Xin naturally won't hold back.

The cloaked dragon also stuck out its tongue, entangled Hunter J's hands as he tried to resist, and pulled Wei Xin and Hunter J to its side before the dragon king scorpion could react and launch an attack.

The other Pokémon swarmed in and pinned Hunter J to the ground.

In the blink of an eye, the hostage exchange was completed.

"Release Lillie and Eevee! Surrender now, and I'll plead for you in court." Wei Xin changed his posture, using his superior physical strength to grab Hunter J's hands, pressing his knee against Hunter J's neck, and pinning her to the ground.

At this moment, crimson blood vessels covered Hunter J's eyes, his pupils devoid of any rationality, his face displaying only desperate madness and undisguised hatred.

"You think threats will work on someone like me who lives on the edge? You don't know me at all. Anyway, I can't escape now, so let's play a game instead."

"Oh, wait, you're a student, so you must be really good at solving problems. Let me give you a multiple-choice question, how about it?"

As soon as Hunter J finished speaking, the Dragon Scorpion spewed out corrosive venom, melting the iron wall on one side. Then it extended its claws and placed Lillie and Eevee outside the spaceship, teetering on the edge, with only the cold ocean beneath its feet.

"Your purpose in coming here is for them, right? So, make your choice: will you abandon your Pokémon and return in triumph with the beauties, or will you choose to kill the young lady of the Aether Foundation and bear the crime of murder?"

Wei Xin looked up and saw Lillie and Eevee struggling to open their eyes, looking at him, and opening their mouths with difficulty.

"Wei, Xin".

"Buyi~ (Trainer)"

They were all calling for help from themselves.

Wei Xin is facing a non-standard trolley problem, a multiple-choice question with only wrong answers.

"Everyone has to pay the price for their actions. You are, and so am I. My price has already caught up with you. What about yours? You don't think this game of heroes will end with a happy ending, do you?"

Hunter J let out a piercing laugh, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw Wei Xin behind him silently close his eyes.

"So what if you close your eyes? You only have ten seconds. After that, they all have to go down."

"Ten, nine, eight... three, two."

At the brink of despair, Wei Xin opened his eyes, a barely perceptible smile playing on his lips, and asked, "Will you keep your promise?"

"Of course," Hunter J said with a smile, "I'm a businessman, and I value integrity above all else. One dies, one lives, it's that simple."

Wei Xin then looked at Lillie and Eevee again, recalling that classic question.

Where will the tennis ball land after touching the net?

On one side is Lillie, a human with a family waiting for her to come home; on the other side is Eevee, who has nothing but herself.

Then the answer is quite simple.
