Chapter 133 Buried in Earth
Chapter 133 Buried in Earth
"boom--!!!"
With a deafening roar and a burst of flames shooting into the sky, the "Super Instantaneous Radiant Wind Dragon Flame Sky Vortex Roaring Array" struck the spot where Kakashi had been standing squarely.
The raging fire tornado raged and devoured, turning the area into a scorching hot zone. The scorching air waves it generated even made Sakura, who was far away, feel her skin burning.
"Whoa! Wait, wait a minute! You guys killed Kakashi-sensei!"
Sakura was still reeling from the shock of her teammate's devastating attack when a sense of inferiority and defeat welled up inside her.
But when she saw Kakashi not only not dodge, but was completely engulfed by the terrifying fire tornado, her shock instantly turned into terror, and she couldn't help but scream.
"Shut up, Sakura!" Naruto didn't even turn his head, his gaze still fixed on the dissipating smoke and flames. "You really underestimate the strength of a Jonin! How could Kakashi-sensei be taken down so easily?"
His tone carried a hint of helplessness as he inwardly complained that in this world, which had only been a generation since the Warring States period, it seemed as if people no longer had a clear concept of the strength of truly powerful ninjas.
Sure enough, as the flames and smoke gradually dissipated, revealing the ravaged scene, four thick earthen walls stood around the spot where Kakashi had stood, forming a sturdy defensive barrier. Even more striking was the fact that each earthen wall had a lifelike dog head sculpture clearly carved on its front.
However, at this moment, these earthen walls were blackened by the intense heat and flames, and their surfaces were covered with spiderweb-like cracks, clearly having withstood a tremendous impact, but ultimately they successfully withstood the attack.
"Is that Earth Release ninjutsu?"
"As expected, Jonin are not so easy to defeat," said Zuo Yue in a serious tone.
However, looking at the Earth Release: Earth Wall that maintained its personal style even in the midst of an emergency defense, Naruto couldn't help but mentally complain again, "Hey... he doesn't even have a lot of chakra, yet he still has to go and create this dog-head shape when he uses Earth Release: Earth Wall..."
Zuo Yue stared intently at the cracked earthen wall with its dog-head relief, trying to catch any movement within it through the dissipating dust.
However, Naruto was the first to notice the extremely subtle yet incredibly rapid chakra fluctuations emanating from the soil beneath his feet!
"Run!"
Without the slightest hesitation, the instant Naruto issued his warning in the shortest possible voice, he had already exerted force with his feet and leaped rapidly to the side and rear!
Almost at the same moment Naruto's voice rang out, although Satsuki couldn't directly sense the anomaly underground, her unconditional trust in Naruto meant that her brain didn't even have time to think before her body instinctively followed the command and swiftly dodged to the other side.
The two reacted incredibly quickly, evacuating from their positions almost simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Sakura, upon hearing Naruto's sudden warning, was momentarily stunned. Just as she panicked and tried to jump away like her companion because of this momentary hesitation, it was too late!
Without warning, a hand broke through the soil beneath her feet and firmly grasped her ankle! The cold touch and strong grip startled Sakura, causing her to let out a short scream.
"Earth Release: Heart-Slaying Decapitation Technique!"
The sound came from underground. Immediately afterwards, an irresistible, immense force suddenly dragged Sakura downwards!
"Waaaaaah—!"
With a terrified scream, Sakura felt the world spin around her as she was suddenly pulled into the solid ground.
In the blink of an eye, all the struggles and screams were buried by the mud. When she came to her senses from the violent tremors, she was horrified to find that, except for her head, her entire body was buried deep in the earth.
Kakashi, meanwhile, calmly squatted down in front of her, his exposed eye carrying a hint of scrutiny.
"During combat, they lack a clear understanding of their own strength and will even freeze in place when the team leader issues an emergency warning..."
Kakashi's tone was calm, yet every word pierced the heart: "How is it? You can't move at all now, can you? This is the price of a weakness."
"H-How could this be..." Sakura murmured in disbelief, both shocked and embarrassed. "Kakashi-sensei was just over there, protected by that earthen wall!"
"Using Earth Release for movement and surprise attacks is not a difficult thing for a qualified Jonin."
Kakashi explained casually, but his gaze drifted to Naruto and Satsuki, who had reunited in the distance and were ready for battle. "Compared to those two, you still have a very, very long way to go."
Seeing Sakura's head bowed low in frustration and self-blame, Kakashi slowly stood up. His gaze returned to Naruto and Satsuki in the distance, and his hands began to form a simple hand seal.
"Bang bang bang bang bang..."
A series of soft white smoke bursts suddenly rang out across the training ground! One by one, Kakashi figures appeared out of thin air, their numbers rapidly increasing to more than twenty in the blink of an eye!
What's even more troublesome is that each clone is holding two jingling bells in its hands!
The next moment, the twenty Kakashi clones, each holding a bell, scattered without hesitation and swiftly disappeared into the dense forest on both sides of the training ground.
At the scene, only Kakashi remained, still standing guard next to Sakura, who was buried in the ground with only her head sticking out.
Kakashi looked at the two with serious expressions in the distance, and as if he had suddenly remembered something, he gave them a "warm" reminder in his unique, lazy yet slightly irritating tone.
"Oh, right, just a reminder—this isn't my true form." He pointed to himself. "My real form is currently hiding somewhere in the woods, holding a bell."
He looked up at the sky; the sun was already close to noon.
"It's almost noon, and you don't have much time left. I hope that before then, you two can successfully find my true form in the forest and steal the bell."
"Good luck to you."

(Sorry, there are still two more chapters to go. The bell-grabbing event will probably end in the next chapter, but I'm really stuck on the script. I really don't know how to express the outline. I need to work on my brain!)
