Chapter 115
Chapter 115
Half an hour later, the doorbell rang.
Lin Feng went to open the door.
Liu Jian stood at the door, his round face full of excitement, his eyes shining like light bulbs.
"Lin Feng! I heard you won!" He shouted as soon as he entered the door, his voice so loud that the whole building could hear him.
Cheng Yuxin peeked out of the room, glanced at him, and then shrank back inside.
Liu Jian followed Lin Feng into the room, and his eyes lit up when he saw the computer on the table.
"Is this the computer you bought?"
Lin Feng nodded.
Liu Jian leaned closer, looked at it again and again, and reached out to touch the computer case.
"486? 8MB of memory?"
Lin Feng nodded.
Liu Jian turned to look at him, his eyes full of admiration.
"Lin Feng, you're amazing. You won the competition, bought the computer, and sold the software. Are you even human?"
Lin Feng smiled but didn't say anything.
Liu Jian sat down by the bed and began asking about the competition.
"How did you win? What was the score? Does Zhao Lei accept it?"
Lin Feng recounted the entire match process once again.
Liu Jian listened in a daze, and at the end, he slapped his thigh.
"Holy crap! 14 to 13! You came back from 8-0 to 14 to 13?"
Lin Feng nodded.
Liu Jian stood up and paced back and forth in the room, muttering to himself.
"That's amazing! That's amazing! That's amazing!"
After walking around a few times, he stopped and looked at Lin Feng.
"Lin Feng, will you teach me how to play basketball?"
Lin Feng looked at him.
Liu Jian said, "I want to play too. Teach me, and I'll practice with you."
Lin Feng thought for a moment.
"Can you get up at four in the morning?"
Liu Jian was stunned for a moment.
"Four o'clock?"
Lin Feng nodded.
Liu Jian scratched his head.
"Four o'clock...that's a bit early. How about five-thirty?"
Lin Feng looked at him.
Liu Jian chuckled awkwardly, "Four o'clock it is then."
Lin Feng said, "Okay. Let's start tomorrow."
Liu Jian nodded, then asked, "Could you teach me that program too?"
Lin Feng looked at him.
Liu Jian said, "I also want to learn programming. You teach me, and I'll help you write it."
Lin Feng remained silent for a few seconds.
Then he said, "Okay. Let's start with C."
He turned on his computer and brought up a simple program.
"This is Hello World. Look."
The screen displays:
#include
void main()
{
printf("Hello World!\n");
}
Liu Jian leaned over to take a look and stared at it for a long time.
"What does this mean?"
Lin Feng explained line by line.
Liu Jian listened attentively, but his eyes grew increasingly confused.
After explaining, Lin Feng asked him, "Did you understand?"
Liu Jian nodded, then shook his head.
"I understand a little, but not most of it."
Lin Feng smiled.
"It's okay. Take your time."
He asked Liu Jian to sit down and taught him how to type, step by step.
Liu Jian's fingers were clumsy; he typed one letter at a time, and it took him a long time to finish typing that piece of code.
Then Lin Feng taught him how to compile.
A message pops up on the screen: Hello World!
Liu Jian stared at the line of text for a few seconds, stunned.
Then he suddenly stood up.
"Holy crap! I wrote it!"
He turned to look at Lin Feng, and his eyes were actually a little red.
"Lin Feng, I've finished writing it!"
Lin Feng looked at him and smiled.
"Yes, you wrote it down."
Liu Jian sat down again and stared at the screen for a long time.
Then he turned his head and looked at Lin Feng seriously.
"Lin Feng, thank you."
Lin Feng was stunned for a moment.
Liu Jian rarely takes things this seriously.
"No need to thank me," Lin Feng said.
Liu Jian said, "You taught me how to play ball and how to write programs. My dad was right, I can learn real skills from you."
Lin Feng didn't speak.
Liu Jian turned back, looked at the screen, his fingers on the keyboard, seemingly lost in thought.
At noon, Cheng Yuxin cooked lunch and invited Liu Jian to eat with her.
