Chapter 11 Diary
Chapter 11 Diary
The meeting room door closed again.
Ji Yongsheng asked, "President Meng, Director Mu, have you remembered anything?"
Mu Wei shook his head: "Really not."
Meng Haolin said, "President Ji, I really don't understand why you suspect there's a problem with the CMS. Let me see the evidence."
"No rush, we'll all see together later." Ji Yongsheng smiled. "Many people in the industry praise us, saying that Zhiwei Technology is a company with heart. In terms of employee care, especially for long-term employees who have contributed to the company, I think it's commendable. But if some people don't appreciate it, we can't blame the company, can we?"
At this point, he picked up a remote control and pressed a button on it.
Wei Hongsi heard a slight mechanical sound coming from under the table. He then saw a strip-shaped panel on the table flip open, revealing an LCD screen that flashed the logo of Zhiwei Technology.
Shortly afterward, the logo disappeared, the screen lit up, and several documents were displayed.
Ji Yongsheng said, "This is the CMS system log for the past month. Everyone is free to browse it. Indeed, as Director Mu said, there are no problems. But please pay attention to the contents from the early morning of May 25th."
The log shows that routine system maintenance was performed as scheduled between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM, and the maintenance was completed at 3:42 AM. The CMS was restarted, and the restart was completed at 3:58 AM. Subsequently, a stress test was conducted at 4:12 AM, and the system was restarted again at 4:48 AM.
"Let me show you something else. This is a fine notice the power company issued to us last month because our power factor plummeted from 0.93 to 0.68, and our midnight electricity consumption was more than three times that of the daytime. In the finance department's bill, this fine is recorded as a CMS stress test, and the timeline matches perfectly."
"As you all know, in order to ensure the stable operation of CMS, we upgraded its dedicated power supply station at the beginning of the year. However, many people do not know that when upgrading the power supply station, we also added a substation log for it.
「根据这个日誌的记录,5月25日凌晨3点40分至5点钟的这段时间,无功补偿装置持续发出超频报警。我仔细查了相关数据,这个时段中的瞬时功耗峰值达到17兆瓦,时间是4点04分。
"Let's check the CMS system logs again. At this time, the CMS has already restarted, but the stress test has not yet started, which should be when the power consumption is lowest."
Having said that, Ji Yongsheng looked up from the screen and at the crowd. "Everyone, I think I've made myself clear. Do you have any further questions?"
Mu Wei's forehead was covered in sweat. After careful consideration, he raised his head and said, "Chief Ji, I admit to modifying the log and am willing to take the corresponding responsibility."
Ji Yongsheng snorted and looked at him, saying, "Then let me ask you, how did you erase the physical remnants of the log storage blocks?"
"I..." Mu Wei opened his mouth, but finally lowered his head.
Meng Haolin sighed and slowly said, "I used a backdoor command to overwrite it. I was in charge of the storage block at the time."
Faced with the irrefutable evidence presented by Ji Yongsheng, the two could no longer deny it.
Ji Yongsheng asked, "President Meng, have you told anyone about the backdoor instruction set for the log storage block?"
"No, I didn't," Meng Haolin quickly denied. "Even Wenhui doesn't know, how could I tell others?"
Ji Yongsheng stared at Meng Haolin: "Mr. Meng, why don't you have another cup of tea and think it over carefully?"
"No need." Meng Haolin subconsciously refused, but upon meeting Ji Yongsheng's sharp gaze, he suddenly realized something and said in a trembling voice, "President Ji, no... it's not that serious..."
Just then, Ji Yongsheng heard a soft sigh coming from behind him, so he stopped speaking and, after a moment of silence, asked, "President Meng, do you know who the client is who made these two requests to the Eighth Department?"
"I don't know." Meng Haolin shook his head. "Our technology center and application center don't have much overlap in their work, let alone know about their clients."
Ji Yongsheng said, "That customer is Paradise Beverages."
"Oh." Meng Haolin nodded. "It's a big company."
Ji Yongsheng couldn't help but sigh; Meng Haolin seemed to be getting quite old.
As the general manager of the technology center, to say that he has little to no interaction with the application center is as ridiculous as a chef saying that he has absolutely no interaction with his customers. Holding such a view makes him unsuitable for this position.
He stopped looking at Meng Haolin and started operating the conference terminal.
"These are the reports we prepared for two commissions from Paradise Beverages. The first one was submitted yesterday, and the second one has issues according to Director Yu and has not yet been approved. The conclusions of the company's standard analysis model are attached to the end of the first report, so everyone can compare them."
"This last document is a report given to me by General Manager Gu. General Manager Meng, please take a close look and ask any further questions."
The documents appeared on the screen in front of Wei Hongsi. He had prepared the first two reports, which were not worth reading. Gu Shiming's report was the one he was focusing on.
In just a few pages, the relationship between CMS and standard algorithm models is clearly explained.
For example, the company's standard eye-tracking analysis model is like the interviewer, the GG solution is like the candidate, and the test data from the GG solution is like the candidate's answer sheet.
Since candidates are unaware of the interview questions and the interviewers' scoring criteria, their scores are generally between 50 and 60 points, with those scoring above 62 points considered top performers.
However, one candidate, who chose option B, scored over 70 points.
The exam organizers thought the score was a bit outrageous, so they changed the examiners. As a result, the other candidates' scores remained similar to before, but candidate B got a zero.
Such a huge score difference prompted an investigation by the exam organizers.
Then it was discovered that in the exam in which candidate B received a high score, there were very obvious signs of score manipulation, which showed that he was very familiar with the scoring rules of the previous examiner.
Another piece of evidence shows that candidate B was trained by teacher CMS, and the scoring criteria of the previous examiner were all taught by this teacher.
Since both examiners and teachers are unique, it can be concluded that the CMS teacher completely replicated the brain of the previous examiner.
That's roughly the situation.
Ji Yongsheng waited quietly for a while, then said, "If everyone has no questions about President Gu's report, let's deduce the situation after the implementation of Plan B. Engineer Wei, could you please present your predictions regarding the changes in purchasing psychology of the participants in Plan B?"
