Chapter 260 Stone Fortress
"I got it from a mysterious person."
After looking at it for a while, Emhyr said, "I don't understand much of it, but I was shocked by what I read. No one can betray others so easily. However, I suggest you find a professional for this kind of thing!"
Luo Chen looked at him with suspicion: "A professional?"
"Yes, the diary is written in the script of the Famo tribe, which only they can understand. In ancient times, the Famo tribe invented this script in order to protect themselves!"
Luo Chen nodded: "Perhaps there will be another chance in the future, let's meet again!"
Emhyr was taken aback: "Chief Mage, you're leaving already?"
"Well, there are still many things I haven't done yet, so let's meet again when we have the chance!"
After saying this, Luo Chen walked back into the blizzard and went directly to the city of Kamas.
After questioning several guards, they learned that the guy was in an underground ancient ruin. The city of Kamas was neither very big nor very small, and it was clear that it was a city built on ruins.
Luo Chen turned around and walked towards the Stone Fortress.
A guard stepped forward: "Outsider, what brings you here?"
Luo Chen directly told the guard that he was looking for the court mage Kasemor. Perhaps this guy had some connection with the mage. Thinking of this, the guard said, "Um, there are many forbidden things in the fortress, so please be careful!"
Even when this gatekeeper tried to say something nice, it ended up sounding like a threat, which is why he has remained stuck in his position.
Luo Chen didn't make things difficult for him and simply placed a bag of gold coins in his hand.
After saying that, he pushed open the door in front of him and went straight inside.
A group of people were making a lot of noise, as if they were having a heated argument. Luo Chen walked over, and an old man turned his head and looked at Luo Chen impatiently, saying, "If you have something to say, please say it later. I'm busy right now!"
After saying that, he buried his head in the stone statue in front of him, struggling with it. Luo Chen could tell that although it was a stone statue that looked like a mural, it was no different from the sliding puzzle he had played with deep in his memory.
Although so many years have passed, Luo Chen still retains that childlike innocence in his heart. So he walked forward and pushed the stone wall in front of him. In no time, he turned it into a pile of stones. At first, the old men tried to stop Luo Chen, but Luo Chen's hands became faster and faster, and the original patterns appeared. Who would have thought that the final pattern would turn out to be a small pornographic image?
Damn it, no way! I wonder what happened to the ancient people these days!
The old man who had just told Luo Chen to be quiet stepped forward and asked, "Who are you?"
Luo Chen glanced at the things in his hands: "As an old man, you shouldn't be looking at so many of these things. And, sir, I'd like to ask, which one of you is Cassemo?"
The old man was slightly taken aback: "But whatever your purpose is, I can only tell you that I am the famous court mage, Cassemo!"
This old geezer has this inexplicable air of arrogance about him.
"I've come here because I have some questions about classical Chinese that I'd like you to help me with!"
"Is it about the Famo tribe? If that's the case, I'm afraid I'm afraid I can't help you."
Luo Chen was still somewhat unwilling, so he asked again, "I wonder how much it would cost to get you to translate for me?"
The old man turned his head: "No means no. Translating the language of the Famo people is the most important thing I've ever done in my life. It's something that money can't buy. Think about it, how can you easily let others access something you've researched your whole life?"
(baac) After the old man finished speaking, he ignored Luo Chen no matter what he was saying. Naturally, Luo Chen was unwilling to argue with such an old man who was crazy about research.
Luo Chen walked behind a rock and hid. Cassemo didn't seem to notice whether Luo Chen had left or not. However, if this continued, even if he left this place, this old geezer probably wouldn't leave.
At this moment, a young man who looked incredibly young walked over. Judging from his appearance, he was at most a menial worker in this Stone Fortress. Luo Chen waved to him.
The low-level mage then walked over.
"If you go and distract Cassemo, I'll hand over all these gold coins to you, how about it?"
The two bags of gold coins in Luo Chen's hands were quite tempting for this low-level mage, but in Skyrim Province, there were always those who would betray someone after using them. How could he trust the other party?
Luo Chen handed him a bag of gold coins: "Consider this my deposit. If you complete your task well, you'll receive even more gold coins!"
The low-level mage happily took all of Luo Chen's gold coins, then walked over to Kasemmo and whispered a few words in his ear. After he finished speaking, Kasemmo was slightly taken aback, and then he started cursing at the low-level mage. It was quite a feat for the young man. As he left with Kasemmo, he even made a finger-wiping gesture towards Luo Chen.
Luo Chen gave him a look, and suddenly a voice entered the ears of the low-level mage.
Under a rock outside the door, the low-level mage was marveling at the sheer power of this person, wondering how they could wield such magic, and how they had never even heard of their name before.
After resolving the issue with Casemo, Luo Chen walked to the research table where Casemo had been sitting. It seemed his gamble had paid off; a set of keys was on it. Luo Chen thought to himself, "No need to be polite," and took them directly.
At the same time, he walked to the north hall. At the top of the high stairs, a guard was observing the surroundings. Luo Chen lowered his head and walked up to the door. Damn it, Luo Chen hid to the side and half-squatted down. Now no one should notice him.
Luo Chen took out the longbow that Kalia had given him earlier and aimed it directly at the guard's head. The arrow pierced through his head in one go.
The guard immediately fell to the ground, the sound echoing throughout the entire north hall.
Chapter 261 Dalmo Museum
These sounds were quickly drowned out by the discussions among the scholars.
Luo Chen let out a long breath, and after noticing that no one around was paying attention to him, he flashed and pushed open the door of the Domo Museum.
Upon entering, Luo Chen concealed himself behind a cabinet.
The two guards were chatting, and soon dispersed.
Taking advantage of their departure, Luo Chen stealthily moved to the left. It wasn't that Luo Chen was particularly afraid of the guards, but rather that these guards seemed to have a telepathic connection; once one spotted you, an endless horde would pounce on you.
The guard turned around, and Luo Chen flashed into a large door. It was indeed a ruin, with cobwebs all around and scattered robot parts lying on the ground.
There are footsteps!
Luo Chen lowered his head and hid in the corner. A large spider moved its six big eyes to monitor the surrounding sounds, as if something might suddenly fall from the sky.
Damn.
Luo Chen cursed inwardly. Seeing that the spider was not around and he didn't see anyone, he walked directly to the other end of the passage before jumping down from the top of the wall.
Perhaps it bumped into the parts on the ground when it jumped down, because the eight-legged giant spider frantically ran back from the end of the passage, but this time, it still found nothing.
The spider seemed to have its own thoughts, and instead of leaving, it began searching its surroundings. Hey old man, you wouldn't be so bored as to just look up at the sky, would you?
As the saying goes, what you fear most is what happens; the spider suddenly looked up at the sky.
Damn it, what happened to spiders being cartilaginous creatures? Why would they suddenly look up at the sky for no reason?
However, Luo Chen let out a cold laugh. As the saying goes, "Heaven has a road but you don't come, hell has no gate but you throw yourself in." This must be referring to this eight-legged spider. Thinking of this, Luo Chen opened his eyes, quickly condensed a ball of lightning in his hands, and swiftly swung it towards the spider.
The lightning power swirled around the spider's body, but...
Oh my god, how come it's still alive?
"Damn spider, I'll teach you a lesson!"
Luo Chen said calmly, and quickly drew the Heaven-Destroying Sword in his hand. With a single thrust, he delivered a fatal blow to the eight-legged giant spider opposite him.
Luo Chen patted his shoulder and said, "Damn bastard, let's see if you dare to provoke me again."
Tragically, a thing happened. Below, there were countless long copper pipes, and no one knew where they led. Suddenly, one of the caps on the copper pipes fell off.
Several small spiders made of copper raised their fangs and claws towards Luo Chen.
Outside this gate.
The two guards watched the time wheel on the ground tick by.
"Sigh, time to go home again!"
"How about we go to the tavern for a couple of drinks later?"
"Hey, that's a great suggestion!"
The clattering sound came from the left-hand gate.
"I have to say, those spiders are really annoying, they come out at this time every day!"
He waved his hand at the guard facing him: "Alright, alright, they're not here to arrest you, don't worry!"
Thinking about it, that made sense, so the guard, carrying his short sword, sat down on a stone stool to the side.
However, things weren't so easy for Luo Chen inside the gate!
The spiders kept chasing after Luo Chen, and Luo Chen kept running. He turned a corner and found a room. Without any hesitation, Luo Chen pushed open the door and went in. There was a diary on the table and a magic wand next to it.
Luo Chen simply flipped through the diary, glanced at it briefly, and then thought, "Control Crystal? What the hell is this?"
Make a note of this name first, and look it up later when you discover its function. Holding the magic wand, Luo Chen gently waved it, and a purple light seemed to flash across it.
After the flash of light, the chirping of the little bronze spiders that had been chirping incessantly outside the door seemed to disappear.
Luo Chen walked out the door and saw the spiders rushing back into the hole they had come out of, just like ants.
It was really inexplicable, but a little spider seemed unable to find its way back and was looking around. Luo Chen's sinister smile appeared behind it.

Even a spider made of bronze couldn't help but shed a bead of sweat at this moment. Don't ask where the sweat came from; it just appeared like a god.
Luo Chen was still unsure of the wand's abilities, so he decided to use the little spider to test it out.
A glimmer of light flashed on the wand, enveloping the spider. After the white light flashed, Luo Chen could see a trace of magical element connecting the spider and Luo Chen.
With a gentle wave of Luo Chen's hand, the spider seemed to get drunk, taking two steps forward, but then appeared to be about to collapse to the ground.
It seemed that the little spider had lost its mind. Luo Chen shook his magic wand while figuring out how to control the little spider. It took him about half an hour to figure out how to control it.
0 ...... .......
Luo Chen wasn't in a hurry to leave this place. Instead, he waved his magic wand and sent the spider out to scout ahead.
Sure enough, before the spider had taken two steps, two imperial soldiers came out from inside.
"Hey, what is this?"
One of the soldiers said in confusion, while another soldier pointed to the small spider on the ground: "This looks like a mechanism from the Stone Fortress. It seems to be able to attack people, but they usually don't attack our Imperial soldiers!"
It seemed as if he was telling the other person to rest assured, and the other soldier, still somewhat doubtful, was about to take another step forward.
How could Luo Chen let him walk in his direction? So he swung his wand hard.
The spider leaped onto the guard's head. Hidden beneath its mouth were incredibly sharp spikes that began to spin rapidly, tearing through the guard's helmet and sucking at his head.
Seeing this, another soldier tried to step forward and take the spider off, but unexpectedly, the little spider turned its head and stretched out its long arms towards the soldier in front of it.
"What the hell is this?!"
The guard was startled, then drew his sword: "Die!"
The longsword struck the spider, and a powerful force rebounded back. At the same time, the little spider, under Luo Chen's control, jumped over.
The guard instantly collapsed to the ground, simultaneously sticking to the other man's head.
Having succeeded in one strike, Luo Chen wouldn't let his opponent off easily. He continued to control the little spider, slowly eroding its body.
The guard only managed to shout twice before he died, blood continuously flowing from his head.
After dealing with the guards, Luo Chen realized that the place the two were guarding was a long mine cart passage. The two must be the guards at the entrance of the passage. Luo Chen nodded and pushed open the door.
There was a long staircase to the side. Luo Chen walked up the staircase, and before he could even peek out, he saw two people talking about something inside.
Luo Chen calmly hid in the crowd, listening to their conversation.
"Poor Morphus is dead!"
"Really? How did he die?"
“I warned him from the beginning not to wander around in this stone passage, but he just wouldn’t listen to my advice. Now look what’s happened.”
"Anyway, we'll just have to be more careful about the steam traps ahead in the future!"
"Alright, alright, let's continue our patrol. If someone manages to sneak in, we'll be in big trouble!"
After they finished speaking, the two parted ways and began searching for something around them. Luo Chen flipped onto the platform and stealthily walked to the back of the gate. A bright red scroll appeared in front of him, and Luo Chen, without any hesitation, started spinning it.
Suddenly, several screams came from ahead. Luo Chen quickly took two steps forward and saw about five corpses lying on the ground.
Luo Chen searched their bodies and found mostly gold coins, but he didn't hesitate to pocket them all.
However, there was nothing of any value left. Just then, a thick white smoke suddenly rose from the ground. Luo Chen subconsciously used his hand to block the rising fog.
A sharp pain shot through my hand; I hadn't felt this kind of pain in a long time.
He took a step back to the left, but the thick fog surged up again. Luo Chen took two steps back and observed carefully. The white steam would surge up about every three seconds. As for how powerful it was, he could guess without even trying.
One, two, three. After three seconds, Luo Chen ran two steps forward, right to the spot where there were no copper pipe air vents in the sky or on the ground.
