Chapter 474 Darkseid: I'm Super, Supreme Little Madman
Chapter 474 Darkseid: I'm Super, Supreme Little Madman
Chapter 474 Darkseid: I'm Super, Supreme Little Madman
Some corner of the dark multiverse.
The once beautiful world has once again been reduced to ruins.
Yet another dark multiverse awaits his inevitable destruction...
Although the world was never really that wonderful to begin with.
"A world where Germany has won? Really?"
The ravager threw a Superman with a swastika emblazoned on his chest to the ground and tore off his arm amidst the man's desperate screams.
"You disgust me. You're one of the most disgusting Superman Clark Kent I've ever seen. Oh, right, what did you say again? Your name is Clark Adolf Heath something? Anyway, it's all the same."
The Destroyer ripped out Superman's tongue. He turned to see Red Death grabbing his opponent's arm and, in the other's despairing gaze, slicing Flash, who also wore a swastika armband, from his chest down to his groin with his high-frequency vibrating hand chop.
"This world is a garbage world, we've wasted our time." The killing machine sitting next to her pulled its blood-stained mechanical tentacles from the mouth and nose of the unseeing Wonder Woman, and then said, "What a waste of time."
"But the good news is that we've rebuilt the television, so we can stay here for a while, watch the story end, and then go to the next world," Red Death said.
His voice didn't sound cheerful at all; it was still hoarse and gloomy, but you could sense something in his tone.
The other members of the Dark Knights remained noncommittal.
The Batman Who Laughs wasn't there. As always, he found a spot and squatted down, taking the Batman of this universe with him. The members of the Dark Knights knew that he was probably enjoying the pleasure of torturing himself again.
The Batman Who Laughs must have a lot to say about Batman, who believes in the philosophy of Superman.
(Note: The philosophy of the Übermensch, a philosophical idea proposed by the philosopher Nietzsche, has been misinterpreted by someone and used as one of the foundations of his theory of superiority.)
"Since things have come to this, let's watch TV," said Red Death.
He was the only member of the Dark Knights who only thought about watching TV, so the TV program was restarted, and soon after, the Killing Machine found the Batman Who Laughs again.
"I need to contact Lord Barbatos," (laughs maniacally).
He said to the Batman Who Laughs, "Batman seems to be trying to convince Superman Supreme... This is different from our previous plan. If Superman Supreme can enable Batman to defeat Anti-Monitor without consuming Anti-Monitor's heart, then Lord Barbatos' plan will completely fall apart."
He told the Bat Who Laughs, "Perhaps we have to intervene; we need to take action."
He glanced at the swastika-flagged Batman who was being trampled under the feet of the Batman Who Laughs.
The other person reached out to the killing machine and pleaded for his life, but the killing machine completely ignored Bruce's pleas.
"Since you've already confirmed that there's absolutely no need to absorb Batman from this universe, why are we still wasting our time in this universe?"
“The master didn’t ask us to go to that universe now, dear Bruce,” he heard the Batman Who Laughs say. “In fact, you see, I think you’re a little too concerned about it…”
The killing machine felt a chill run down its spine as it stared indifferently at the laughing bat.
"Oh, Bruce, dear Bruce... my child... you must kill him. He is a threat to you, and the Batman Who Laughs makes you unsafe... my dear child, I beg you, let me kill him for you..."
From the killing machine's perspective, Alfred's image appeared right next to the Batman Who Laughs, sharpening its knives at him.
But the killing machine knew he couldn't do that.
"Have you seen the movie, Bruce? Oh, I assume you are, Zorro, right?"
(Note: The Batman Who Laughs here refers to the night Batman's parents died, the movie they watched was about Zorro. Zorro is a vigilante in American legend who uses a gun and a rapier.)
"And the film's story hasn't reached its climax yet, right?"
"Colonel Vital (note: Zorro's villain) has set a trap. He's confident he can use it to defeat Zorro and completely end this madman who's invaded his 'world.' You know what I mean?"
The killing machine understands.
For Colonel Vital, a world without Zorro is the only natural, perfectly normal world. Zorro is an outsider to him, a destroyer and annihilator of his world, just as... the Anti-Monitor is to Batman.
"Ha—hahaha! The video's only halfway through!" The Batman Who Laughs exclaimed, then suddenly sprang to his feet. The killing machine watched in disbelief as he reached out and ripped apart the image of Alfred behind him—
This is of course impossible.
Unless he is willing to materialize the image, the image of Alfred will only appear from the perspective of the killing machine.
The laughing bat sat back down.
"Have some patience, Bruce."
He said, "Things always go wrong, you know..."
"That's how stories always are."
"I usually call it 'humor,' hahaha!"
……
……
……
puff!
Superman looked down at Batman, somewhat bewildered, staring at the hand that had pierced his chest in that instant…
That hand of the Supreme Superman.
"No, what did you do?"
Superman turned his head to look at Bane, who was now stuck to the Origin Wall in his place.
The other party let out a distorted scream, like a beautiful young girl seeing her beloved boy, who was like a demigod from ancient Greece, bleeding profusely.
The next moment, a red light shot out from Superman Supreme's eyes, piercing through Bane's skull and causing his head to explode like a watermelon.
Due to the power of the Red of All Beings and the Black of Decay, such an attack was far from enough to kill Bane, but it was enough to shut him up.
"Why...why?"
Superman looked down and saw the dying Batman before him:
"You...you could have chosen...chosen something better..."
He was panting heavily when a mouthful of blood gushed from his mouth and nose. To prevent himself from accidentally failing to kill Batman immediately, Superman the Impossible deliberately pierced Batman's body with his palm the very first moment he descended the wall.
It was easy; even if the opponent synchronized a portion of the transformation like Doomsday and The Flash for a split second, Superman knew he was fast enough.
He intended to ambush Batman, and then, with a speed so fast that his opponent couldn't even react, he struck Batman's vitals in an instant.
"You...you are not the demon king who destroyed the world, Your Majesty, I understand how you feel..."
Superman looked at Batman, who, even in this predicament, was still trying to convince himself.
"I believe you, Superman Supreme. Your current thoughts may not be entirely your own."
"Please, you're Superman, the strongest version of Superman, the Superman with almost no weaknesses, you should be able to understand what I'm saying..."
"Whether it's the Dark Multiverse or some other world."
Superman the Primal declared, "Once I reboot the universe, I can fix everything!"
He said, "It was all because I was too late... I almost succeeded!"
(Note: The "almost succeeded" that Superman Supreme mentioned here refers to "Crisis on Infinite Earths". After "Crisis on Infinite Earths", Superman Supreme, the Superman couple from Earth 2, and Alexander Luthor Jr. escaped into the Heaven Dimension, but later discovered that the superheroes of the new world were not morally sound, so they invaded New Earth again.)
"By reversing history and completely changing my history of failure, I can reshape the multiverse and then erase everything before me!"
He said, "Everyone will have clothes to wear and food to eat, and no one will fall into poverty or the predicament of working hard without reward."
"There are no more morally corrupt heroes, or ruthlessly evil villains; the world is peaceful and beautiful."
He said, "We are all comic book readers, Batman, we all know that such a world existed."
"I'm sorry," he said. "You're too caught up in this broken world, and a broken piece of porcelain is meaningless."
"The harder you try to repair them, the more obvious the cracks become. No matter how hard you try, you can't stop them from peeling off."
The only solution is to use their remains to create a new piece of porcelain, which is exactly what I'm doing now.
He said, "Once I've sunbathed enough, I'll take care of the Anti-Monitor and then start rebooting that universe. You're too dangerous, Batman."
To prevent you from posing any threat to my plans, I must first kill you. But don't worry, you will have a place in the new multiverse I create; you will be resurrected and become a true superhero.
"Please, Your Majesty, you have the most powerful soul I have ever encountered. It's easy to succumb to your anger and your worst thoughts, but this world isn't a game of throwing caution to the wind. You must accept the imperfections of things, just like..."
Superman Supreme wasn't going to listen to Batman anymore; he only ever said the same few things over and over, and Superman Supreme was already tired of it.
"Go to hell."
He said, "After you are reborn, we will become friends... I will definitely apologize to you then, the laughing parallel universe Batman."
Superman saw the look of despair on Batman's face.
"I...it's no use saying anything now, is it?"
I'm sorry.
Superman said, "I don't intend to do that, but I have no other choice. This is the fundamental solution to everything we've been through."
Upon seeing Batman, he immediately leaped up and backed away.
He saw Batman turn and run away.
But none of this matters.
The Ion Shark appeared behind Batman. Superman Supreme speculated that it had rapidly absorbed Batman's power through some method, but this could not change the outcome.
"Red sunlight?"
He saw a sudden burst of light in the universe, and dozens of bat-shaped spaceships shining red sunlight at him, enough to kill an ordinary Superman.
"A good choice."
Superman commented, "Red sunlight is almost the only thing that can restrain me."
"But that doesn't stop me."
With a single breath, Superman the Youngster froze Bat-ship, which Batman had prepared beforehand, into dust as if it were tofu.
"What other tricks are there?"
He asked, "Come at me all at once, but you know none of this will work on me."
"I beg you..." Superman heard Batman's voice.
But suddenly, he found that blood was flowing from his mouth and nose.
"What happened?"
The Supreme Little Superman was stunned.
"It's Kryptonite from the Origin Universe," he heard Batman say.
He clutched his chest, panting heavily.
"You...you made me transfer my memories to you, but what makes you think I can't use that to read your memories in return?"
"You're an invincible Superman; most of Superman's weaknesses are useless against you... With the destruction of Kryptonite along with Origin Earth, no one knows how to make it anymore..."
"But many people have overlooked... there's one person who knows how to make it..."
"You. You yourself."
Superman Supreme looked at the approaching Batman, coughed up blood, and felt incredibly weak. He heard Batman's voice gradually change from the panting of a dying beast to one filled with aggression:
"To be honest, you're really crazy. But I've always been curious what the world would be like if you went even crazier."
What would be the most terrifying version of Man of Steel? Will we forge an impossible team? Is there anyone who can stop us from becoming the best duo in the multiverse?
"An interesting question, but I've always known that our story will always end in a fight to the death."
So I decided to do what I've always done—plan ahead! Hahaha, haa, hahahahahaha!
……
……
……
"I will never let you get the Anti-Life Equation, Darkseid."
Apokolips.
The Dark Lord rested his chin on one hand, listening to the voice of the night owl before him:
"This is ridiculous. You really think you can get away with threatening me like this? I can just give you up, and then..."
"I am your only chance to kill the Anti-Monitor! Don't tell me you didn't think that way, Owl. I am irreplaceable to both Batman and you. I can bring you Batman, and that's a condition you can't refuse."
Darkseid said, "Your world doesn't have me, right?"
"You have never seen a god like me. You should kneel down and thank me for my great mercy."
They went back and forth for a while, and then the long and exhausting tug-of-war over the distribution of benefits finally came to a temporary end when Darkseid and Night Owl both stopped talking.
The owl spoke:
"Are you so sure Batman will come looking for you?"
"Just as I said," Darkseid replied, "of course. I am the key to turning things around."
He said, "Only I have the ability to take Superman Supreme down from the wall. Only with my help can Batman regain control of Superman Supreme."
"Only I, and only I, can do these things."
"you……"
Darkseid hadn't finished speaking when he turned around and saw the sonic boom channel behind him open at that moment.
"Batman himself has come to confront us," Darkseid said.
"You're pressuring Batman in an unethical way. I can step in," Nite Owl said. "He values the power I wield highly, and under these circumstances, Batman might consider an alliance with me."
"No, there's no need," Darkseid said.
"Batman will beg me. It's the only thing he can do..."
Darkseid's words came to an abrupt end.
"Um?!"
Almost at the same moment Darkseid uttered this short question, Night Owl heard the voice of Superman Supreme, Madman, through the screen:
"Ribbit, Darkseid, I'm going to beat you to death, I'm going to beat you to death!"
