Chapter 15 The Eldest Princess: Little Wu Zi, you've been naughty!
Chapter 15 The Eldest Princess: Little Wu Zi, you've been naughty!
It was already late at night when I returned from the laundry department.
Wu Feng stopped at the entrance of Li Yunrui's bedroom.
The palace gates were ajar, and warm yellow candlelight shone from inside. He stood outside and could hear very faint rustling sounds inside, probably Chunmei packing her things.
After hesitating for a moment, he still didn't push the door open and go in.
As arranged, he now has to stand guard in Li Yunrui's palace every night, sleeping on the small couch in the outer room.
After experiencing those exciting scenes at the Fragrant Pond tonight, Wu Feng felt hot all over and thought that going inside would probably make him feel even more uncomfortable.
He turned and walked along the palace path toward the small garden.
The night breeze cooled me down a bit.
But as soon as I close my eyes, the image of the bathtub with floating flower petals and the fair skin faintly visible in the water comes back to mind.
……
Meanwhile, in Li Yunrui's bedchamber, Chunmei came to the bedside and whispered, "Your Highness, Xiao Wuzi stopped at the door for a moment and then left."
Li Yunrui chuckled softly and said, "It's not good for him to be disobedient on the first day. I'll have him come over first thing tomorrow morning and punish him properly..."
Chunmei replied softly, "This servant understands."
-
On the other side, Wu Feng quickened his pace, almost fleeing back to the servant's quarters next to the small garden.
He closed the door, leaned against it, and took a long, deep breath.
The room was dark, with no lights on. Moonlight streamed in through the small window, casting a square patch of light on the floor.
Wu Feng walked to the bedside and sat down. It took him a while for his heartbeat to gradually calm down.
He took off his shoes, got into bed, sat cross-legged, closed his eyes, and silently recited in his mind.
A pale blue system panel emerged in the darkness, emitting a soft glow.
[Host: Wu Feng]
[Identity: Personal eunuch of the Eldest Princess]
[Cultivation Level: Second Rank]
[Exercise Method: Qi Stream]
[Skills: None]
[Mood Value: -9440]
[Items: True Qi Pill x1, Hidden Sand Projectile (Hidden Weapon)]
Wu Feng paused for a moment when he saw the emotion value column.
Negative nine thousand four hundred and forty?
It seems that Li Yunrui's emotions were indeed quite volatile tonight at the Fragrant Pond.
Those touches, those close contacts, each one gave her a strong sense of stimulation.
This sweet torment is just too infuriating.
Wu Feng rubbed his temples.
Looking at his cultivation level, he has already reached the second rank.
After taking that True Qi Pill last night, he clearly felt that his body was much fuller of True Qi, and his Qi circulation was much smoother.
But with this second-grade cultivation level... Wu Feng clenched his fist, not feeling that he was any more powerful than before.
With a thought, he took out the True Qi Pill from his inventory.
The pill was the size of a fingernail, pure white, and shimmered faintly in the darkness.
Without hesitation, Wu Feng put it directly into his mouth.
The pill melted instantly upon entering the mouth, transforming into a warm current that slid down the throat.
Immediately afterwards, the warm current exploded in his abdomen, transforming into a vast amount of true energy that surged towards his limbs and bones.
Wu Feng immediately activated the Qi Scripture.
His inner energy surged through his meridians, circulating along predetermined routes. He could feel his meridians widening little by little, and his inner energy becoming increasingly abundant.
I don't know how much time passed.
A slight "crack" sound came from inside my body, as if some kind of barrier had been broken.
Wu Feng opened his eyes and exhaled a breath of stale air.
Third rank.
That's the third grade.
It seems that the higher one's cultivation level, the less effective the True Qi Pill becomes. Last night, I used one to advance from zero to the second rank, and tonight I used another to advance from the second rank to the third rank.
But it's okay.
Wu Feng closed the system panel and closed his eyes again.
This is just a basic lottery. Once I've accumulated enough emotional points to pay off my debt to the system, I can do advanced and rare lotteries, and I'm sure I'll be able to draw pills that are even better than True Qi Pills.
He calmed himself down and began to meditate, circulating his Qi to consolidate his newly achieved breakthrough in cultivation.
The vital energy circulates within the body, once, twice...
Night deepens...

The next morning, just as dawn was breaking.
Wu Feng finished meditating and slowly opened his eyes.
A night of cultivation left him feeling refreshed, even more awake than if he had just taken a nap. He stretched his muscles and bones, his joints making a slight "crackling" sound.
I got out of bed and opened the door.
As soon as I stepped into the courtyard, I bumped into Aunt Mei.
Aunt Mei was carrying a small basket, apparently there to inspect the small garden. She was visibly taken aback when she saw Wu Feng.
"Little Wuzi?" Aunt Mei looked him up and down, her eyes full of doubt. "You... slept here last night?"
Wu Feng nodded: "Yes, Sister Mei."
Mei Gu was even more puzzled.
She had heard yesterday that Wu Feng had been transferred to serve His Highness. According to the rules, personal eunuchs must stand guard in their master's bedroom at night.
But why is this little guy still in the servants' quarters?
Did he fall out of favor in less than one night?
"Sister Mei, what's wrong?" Wu Feng asked softly when he saw that Aunt Mei was in a daze.
Strictly speaking, this woman saved his life.
Based on this, as long as Mei Gu doesn't harm him in the future, he won't target her and will repay this kindness.
Mei Gu snapped out of her reverie, her tone tentative: "Little Wu Zi, you...didn't you go to His Highness's place for night watch last night?"
Wu Feng smiled and said, "I was going to go, but... for some reason, I didn't."
He didn't elaborate, but Mei didn't ask any further questions. Having been in the palace for so many years, she knew what she should and shouldn't ask.
"Sister Mei, did you come to see me?" Wu Feng asked.
Mei Gu then remembered her important business: "I came to see if you had packed your things. Now that His Highness has transferred you, I need to find someone else to take care of the small garden today."
Should we find another gardener?
Wu Feng suddenly felt uneasy.
In that case, he wouldn't be the only gardener at Guangxin Palace.
"Sister Mei," Wu Feng said softly, "Don't rush to find someone. I'll go ask His Highness for her opinion later."
Mei Gu gave Wu Feng a deep look.
She could sense that the little guy was different from when he first arrived. His tone of voice and the way he looked at people had become more confident.
"Okay." Aunt Mei nodded. "Just let me know the result before noon. I'll go find someone again this afternoon; the person absolutely has to be there today."
"I understand, Sister Mei," Wu Feng replied. "Then I'll go wash up first, and then I'll go find His Highness."
"Okay, go ahead."
Mei Gu stepped aside and watched Wu Feng walk towards the well.
The back view is still the same, but the feeling is completely different.

After washing up and changing into clean clothes, Wu Feng headed towards Li Yunrui's bedroom.
When they arrived, the palace doors were not yet open.
Two maids stood guard at the door. When they saw Wu Feng, they curtsied slightly.
Wu Feng nodded to them and gently pushed open the door to go inside.
Inside the palace, Li Yunrui had already gotten up.
She was wearing a light purple nightgown, loosely draped with a snow-white fox fur coat, and was sitting in front of her dressing table.
Chunmei stood behind her, holding a comb in her hand, gently combing her long, flowing hair.
Hearing the door open, Li Yunrui looked at herself in the mirror.
Upon seeing that it was Wu Feng, a gentle smile slowly appeared on her face.
Wu Feng closed the door, walked to the dressing table, and bowed, saying, "Greetings, Your Highness."
Li Yunrui didn't speak, she just looked at him through the mirror.
Chunmei also glanced at Wu Feng, her hand still combing her hair.
After a few breaths, Li Yunrui spoke, her voice soft and drawn out:
"Little Wuzi~"
"You were naughty last night~"
Wu Feng's heart tightened suddenly.
Did Li Yunrui discover something last night?
