Chapter 339 Giant Statue, Ancient Divine Kingdom
Chapter 339 Giant Statue, Ancient Divine Kingdom
Chapter 339 Giant Statue, Ancient Divine Kingdom
Inside the spacecraft control room.
Suk and Eloi are talking.
"The mysterious coordinates obtained from that stone correspond to a location somewhere beneath a spatial rift in the Ice River Continent," Suk said slowly and earnestly, looking at Eloi. "We don't yet know what might be there. If we want to explore, we must be prepared."
The couple both wanted to explore that place.
However, I won't go there rashly.
The final decision was that Eloi would stay at the military base with her original core and most of the important treasures on both of them, while Suk would take his Myriad Star clone to the location indicated by the coordinates to scout ahead.
In this way, even if they encounter unpredictable dangers, only their clones will perish.
Afterwards, they returned along the same route, flying all the way to the nearest space shuttle point outside the Ice River Continent, entering the dark universe to continue their journey, and then shuttled back from a space shuttle point near the 081st military base.
Afterwards, Eloi and the two plant life forms remained in the safe barracks base, while Suk and Wanxing's clone went to the Ice River Continent again.
One year later.
The biting wind blows. Beside a majestic, snow-covered mountain, a winding glacier flows, and above it sits an ancient, sword-shaped spaceship.
"This is it." Inside the spaceship, Suk gazed at the vast and boundless scenery outside through the external simulation. As for Eloi's myriad star clones, they were too enormous, so they remained in the world ring. The two consciousnesses communicated with each other.
"The location of that place is actually hidden beneath the Ice River Continent. I even suspect that it might be related to the forces of the Ice River Continent's native inhabitants," Suk remarked.
Many years ago, eleven battlefields were opened up, with powerful figures from the four top races sweeping across numerous regions and establishing new battlefields. The native inhabitants of the Ice River Continent naturally fled in panic, daring not to resist the four top races, as there was no time to spare. It seems that only a portion of them escaped, while many more were slaughtered.
Similarly, there are many mysterious places on the battlefield that even detection instruments and the divine power of cosmic beings cannot detect.
Many high-end combat zones, such as the Ice River Continent and the Star Tower, are associated with legends.
Suk looked at the black stone in his hand, which was tinged with golden light. After recognizing its owner, the stone could be integrated into the body and was also a "token" for going to the destination. It contained intricate secret patterns, containing the laws of space and water, and they were perfectly integrated together to form a pattern resembling a snake.
The pattern gave Suk a sense of perfection, as if he were witnessing the existence of the fundamental laws of the universe, an feeling of immense vastness.
This alone shocked and amazed Suk.
According to the message, only those who possess the token can enter the location marked with the coordinates; otherwise, entry is impossible.
The voice of the Eloi Star Beast echoed in Suk's mind, "I have a feeling that we might have an unexpected gain this time."
"If only that were the case." Suk flew out of the spaceship, then casually put the spaceship away and landed at the foot of the mountain below.
Even without plant life, he possesses strength comparable to a high-ranking king. However, he must carry the "Soul Star" with him to conceal his aura, otherwise his identity as a realm lord might be exposed.
This time they were just scouting ahead; of course, if they didn't encounter any obstacles, they would continue exploring.
Boom! A streak of light fell from the sky, and Suk tore through the ground, burrowing directly underground and heading deeper into the earth.
The land and rocks of the Ice River Continent are extremely cold and hard, but they cannot stop the power of a King-level expert.
And so time passed, until Suk had traveled approximately one hundred billion kilometers before he stopped.
In the darkness of the underground, Suk looked at the enormous structure standing in front of him amidst the mud and rocks. Because of the mud and rocks, he could only see about a kilometer away. In his line of sight, a square passageway door appeared on the huge building.
The passageway door was completely closed, and even after millions of years, it remained completely undamaged.
Suk subconsciously used the power of the world to explore, but found that even though it was right in front of him, the power of the world could not detect it.
"It's truly amazing." Suk looked around the place with curiosity, but found no trace of other natives, no weapons, treasures, corpses or anything like that.
It was as if he were the only person to have come here in billions of years.
He walked directly toward the passage door. The passage door seemed to be closed, but when Suk reached out to touch it, the originally hard material slowly flowed like liquid, and the passage door automatically flowed, allowing Suk to pass through it as if he were passing through water.
Suk looked around and saw that the walls of the circular passage were covered with countless strange and ancient carvings, exuding waves of aura of law.
Suk sensed that the spatial fluctuations here were completely sealed off.
This means that it is impossible to teleport in here, and it is also impossible to teleport out.
The entire passage was empty, with endless darkness ahead.
"This is—" After traveling for tens of thousands of kilometers, a vast palace appeared before Suk's eyes. In the center of the palace was a huge statue, covering an area of tens of thousands of kilometers. It was carved from a deep blue material that looked like ice crystals. Looking at the statue, one could vaguely feel a chilling aura.
The statue depicted a serpentine creature, similar to the dragon in Suk's memories. It had a long body, two horns on its forehead, a single eye, fins spread behind its head, and twelve pairs of wings—a colossal statue stretching for tens of thousands of kilometers, coiled there, seemingly asleep with its eyes closed. Every scale was incredibly clear, as if it were a living, ancient behemoth lying there, transformed into a statue. However, an aura of deathly stillness, as if freezing everything, emanated from this mysterious and ancient statue.
"What terrifying pressure!" Suk took a deep breath.
"This statue—" Suk observed carefully. "is almost exactly the same as the one with the mystical patterns in that black stone."
Similarly, it was impossible to penetrate the giant statue to explore its interior.
The mere presence of a lifeless giant statue made him feel an overwhelming pressure, like that of a cosmic overlord, causing him to hold his breath.
Suk saw a hole in the giant snake's huge single eye, which was where the token needed to be placed. Only by activating it could he quickly travel to the coordinates.
Otherwise, you'd have to search slowly in the endless void of the spatial interlayer, and even then, you might not find it.
"This statue seems to hold a great secret," Suk thought to himself. Of course, even a fool could see that.
"Allah, photograph every part of this statue from every angle, making sure not a single scale or texture is missed," Suk commanded.
After completing this, Suk thoroughly explored the entire giant statue but found nothing, so he had to give up on this pointless exploration.
With a whoosh, Suk landed in the enormous eye on the head of the giant snake statue. The empty eye was like a lake, and Suk felt very empty standing on it. At the end of the eye, there was an irregularly shaped stone hole on the wall, which matched the black stone that Suk had obtained earlier.
When Suk placed the black stone token into the fitting chamber, the wall immediately trembled, and a crack appeared, splitting open to reveal a portal about one kilometer wide and two kilometers high. Inside, there was a hazy, flowing light, like a thin film, faintly radiating powerful energy that made one's heart tremble.
"This seems to be an obstacle." Suk sensed the powerful energy aura above, his expression slightly grave. He cautiously extended his world power towards it, but as expected, it was blocked at the outside.
No detection method can penetrate this portal of light.
Suk placed his hand on the water-like membrane and slowly applied pressure. He felt a strong sense of repulsion from it until he reached the threshold of the initial stage of the King-level, at which point his hand went through with a "plop".
"So only those at the King level can enter?" Suk thought to himself, realizing the situation, and withdrew his hand, which hadn't changed much.
Suk narrowed his eyes. "A huge, mysterious statue exuding an overwhelming aura, and this portal of light..." He increasingly felt that there must be a significant secret behind it all.
"Aloy, I'm going in," Suk said to the myriad star clone in the World Ring.
"Okay, go in." came the reply from inside.
Then Suk rushed straight in.
"puff!"
The water curtain rippled with light, and the person was completely immersed in it. Although there was resistance, it could not stop Suk's power.
The sense of stillness lasted only a brief moment before all the resistance in the surrounding space vanished.
Atop the towering, cloud-shrouded mountain peak, ripples suddenly appeared on the water, and a figure emerged from them.
Black hair, black eyes, and wearing black armor—this is how Suk looks now.
He stared in astonishment at the scene before him.
Before me stretched a vast expanse of land and sea, with an endless ocean. In the distance, a majestic mountain range rose—no, it was a colossal serpent statue stretching for millions of kilometers, emerging from the sea.
The entire statue is blue, with a giant serpent spreading its wings and its head held high, facing the dazzling sun above.
Suk noticed that its single eye was fully open and was a dark color.
But further away from the giant serpent statue, there is a towering tree that seems to reach the sky and connect with the earth!
With Suk's eyesight, he could only estimate that the giant tree was about 10 million kilometers tall, with a trunk diameter of 500,000 to 600,000 kilometers, and a crown diameter of over 40 million kilometers.
This was the largest tree Suk had ever seen. Even planets seemed tiny compared to it, and even the evolved Death Star Vine paled in comparison.
Most importantly, Suk felt that the tree seemed to be alive, and even seemed to be supporting the whole world.
A mysterious and vast world, statues spanning millions of kilometers, and trees reaching tens of millions of kilometers in height.
"This is..." Suk murmured.
But Allah's voice rang out. "Master, I know what this is."
"What is this?" Suk asked.
"This is the Tree of Life," Allah replied. "It is extremely rare. My master has heard that some powerful beings have planted this tree in their divine kingdoms."
Allah's original master was the Lord of the Brahma Sea Palace, an ancient and incomparably powerful cosmic overlord. So although Allah doesn't talk much, his knowledge is indeed the most extensive among them.
"The Tree of Life?" Suk suddenly looked at the incredibly tall tree.
He remembered.
The Tree of Life originates from the World Tree.
He remembered there were nine World Trees in the original story, but he wasn't sure how many there were now.
The strongest World Tree, located in the Ancestral Mystic Realm, is a Universe Venerable-level being, and is the largest tree-type special life form in the universe in terms of size.
"Yes, the Tree of Life originated from a special life form in the universe called the World Tree." Allah's explanation confirmed Suk's idea.
The World Tree strengthens and stabilizes divine kingdoms, but no one possesses a clone of the World Tree. Instead, some powerful beings have obtained a section of the World Tree's rights from it and planted it in their own divine kingdoms. The tree rights grew into enormous divine trees, and these divine trees formed from the World Tree's tree rights are called the Tree of Life.
The Tree of Life stabilizes God's Kingdom.
The more stable the divine kingdom is, the stronger the oppression and restraint of the divine kingdom will be if an enemy breaks into it.
Logically, gods within their divine kingdoms, using the kingdom's power to oppress and bind enemies, and with the kingdom's blessing, their strength should generally increase several times over.
However, with the Tree of Life planted in the divine kingdom, the divine kingdom's blessing upon itself and its oppression of enemies combined to make its strength increase a hundredfold.
"That Tree of Life is so miraculous," Allah said. "The old master once remarked that the World Tree must be even more miraculous, and must make the Kingdom of God stronger and more stable."
Suk, however, looked around at the scene, his expression turning solemn. "Since the Tree of Life has appeared here, does that mean this place is a divine kingdom?"
The previous passage that teleported them here all at once was a fixed passage to the divine realm.
This endless world is terrifyingly vast, with no end in sight. What kind of powerful beings could plant the Tree of Life in the realm of gods?
However, Suk sensed that something was wrong with the state of the divine kingdom. Although the tall divine tree was radiating vitality, the entire divine kingdom was deathly silent and lifeless.
That was the decay of the entire kingdom of God, which a single tree of life could not conceal.
"Something's not right," Suk thought to himself. "If I were the master of the divine kingdom, I would know immediately if someone entered, but now they're ignoring me? And everything I see seems devoid of life."
It's possible that the master of the divine kingdom is still alive and has temporarily ignored him.
There's an even more terrifying possibility...
Suk looked at the surrounding scenery and said slowly.
"The master of the kingdom of God is dead."
This is a divine kingdom that has lost its master.
When a deity dies, the divine state immediately loses its divine power and will gradually wither away over time.
Unless resurrected and supplied with divine power, the divine kingdom can not be restored again.
But now the entire divine kingdom seems to have lost its vitality. The only thing that seems to be alive is the rather special Tree of Life. After all, it is the Tree of Life, and its life is incredibly tenacious. It's just unknown how many years it has persisted in this world.
As Suk was pondering this, Eloi's voice suddenly rang out. "Suk, let me out."
Suk heard the urgency in Eloi's voice and immediately released her. Whoosh, the towering figure of the Myriad Star Beast, tens of thousands of kilometers tall, appeared beside Suk. As soon as it appeared, it raised its head and looked at the huge serpentine statue in the distance, seemingly lost in thought.
Eloi's unusual behavior startled Suk. "What's wrong?"
Eloi's enormous head slowly lowered to look at Suk, a hint of excitement mixed with confusion in her eyes. "I'm not quite sure either. I was in the World Ring just now when I suddenly felt an incredibly strong attraction from the outside world, an attraction that seemed to come from the depths of my soul. I was startled, so I came out..."

Eloi turned her head again, and Suk noticed that she was looking at the giant statue.
Could it be that statue that's attracting attention?
But there was a statue when we came in before, so why didn't Aloy sense it? What's the difference?
