Rhodes looked around and saw that a fierce battle had clearly taken place there. There were some corpses around, but they were not undead creatures. Instead, they were a dozen or so soldiers dressed in full armor, looking somewhat like human crusaders.
Rhodes stepped forward to inspect the scene and found that these heavily armored soldiers had killed a considerable number of undead before they died in battle.
Could I have somehow transmigrated into the home world of Heroes of Might and Magic III? Are these guys the Erathian Crusaders?
This is not good news. The world is destined for destruction. The collision between the Ice Blade and the Doomsday Blade will cause the entire planet to collapse.
"Stronk, are these guys Crusaders?"
“Master! These humans are decent fighters, but they’re only equivalent to ordinary spearmen. They can’t even compare to real swordsmen, let alone crusaders!” Sciark said.
They were only wearing iron armor; their physical abilities were at most equivalent to those of spearmen, barely qualifying them as farmers.
However, they cannot compare to the Crusaders, who have been through many battles and have been tested by severe warfare. If there were a dozen or so Crusaders, then the low-level undead would not be able to deal with them.
There will be at least some high-level undead creatures, such as ghost vampires.
Rhodes nodded upon hearing this and began to examine the soldiers' armor carefully. He found that it was just standard armor, and the workmanship was not very good.
While examining the soldiers' bodies, Rhodes discovered that they had only been dead for a few days, as the bodies were not yet severely decomposed.
Suddenly, Rhodes frowned. On one of the soldiers' shields was a well-preserved insignia: a blue background with an L-shaped letter.
Rhodes felt he had seen this peculiar symbol somewhere before, and after a closer look, he remembered where he had seen it before.
As a veteran World of Warcraft enthusiast and a player who has been playing in Azeroth for over a decade.
Rhodes immediately recognized it as the shield that dropped during the Heroic mode of the Purification of Stratholme dungeon: the Royal Crest of Lordaeron.
Although the shields are slightly different in design, the symbols are exactly the same. Are you kidding me? Is this not the planet of Heroes of Might and Magic 3, but the planet Azeroth?
Rhodes immediately examined the shields of the other soldiers and found identical insignia. After careful examination, he also recognized the characteristics of the Kingdom of Lordaeron in their armor.
A barn contaminated by plague, villagers transformed into undead creatures—isn't this a scene from Warcraft III?
Prince Arthas of Lordaeron, the most filial son of the Alliance, has come to investigate the contaminated grain!
"Master! We've sensed the presence of living beings nearby, and they're heading this way," Stanker suddenly said.
"How many of them are there? What is their combat strength?" Rhodes stood up and asked.
“There were about a dozen of them. One of them was a mage, and another had a power that made me uncomfortable. As for their combat strength, I didn’t fight them, so I’m not sure,” Sciark said.
Chapter 5 The Filial Son and the Troublesome Na, Eagle Eye Technique's Divine Power
A mage and a man with a power that made Stank uncomfortable, accompanied by a dozen guards, plus the rotting grain and the Royal Crest of Lordaeron.
Rhodes could guess who it was even with his toes: the infamous filial son of Lordaeron, the Lich King, and his final title, 35 points of power!
Another infamous woman who sold her father out, that treacherous Na, the White-haired Na! She transformed from a naive and innocent girl at the beginning into a ruthless and powerful woman in the end.
“Got it! Point me to their exact location,” Rhodes said.
“Great master, they are about one kilometer away from you in the southeast direction,” Scink said.
In fact, he was very curious about that being with special energy that could even make him feel afraid.
"I understand. Stanker, you go back to the castle and stay there. If there is any danger, I will call you out." Rhode nodded and immediately recalled Stanker and all the undead creatures around him into his system fortress.
This undead creature is bound to cause some unnecessary misunderstandings outside. Arthas might just mistake him for the mastermind behind this plague and come at him with his hammer.
If it really is the world of Azeroth, then that's not good news!
In terms of danger, the world of Azeroth is even more dangerous than the planets in Heroes of Might and Magic III!
In a few years, almost every year there will be a cataclysmic disaster: Outland, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, and Shadowlands!
The latest version seems to have reached the Battle for the Earth's Core, which supposedly introduces a Void Lord named Mendisius who can devour an entire planet.
This guy appeared in the Burning Crusade raid, but he was just a boss there!
But they were later told that the players had gone through all sorts of hardships to defeat only one of the millions of projections of Mondisius in the universe after he fell into slumber!
If it weren't for the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 system, Rhodes felt he could find a chance to hide in Stormwind and live a normal life as an ordinary citizen!
However, Stormwind doesn't seem to be very safe either; it was attacked by the demon lord Krull on the eve of the Burning Legion's expedition.
Rhodes shook his head, deciding not to think about it too much for now, and followed the path indicated by Sciark towards Arthas and Jaina's location.
The two sides were not far apart, and after walking for only a few minutes, Rhodes heard the sounds of fighting coming from afar.
Rhodes saw a 3-meter-tall, obese, and bloated undead creature, wielding a giant scythe in one hand and a giant cleaver in the other, covered in pustules and oozing a sticky liquid.
Abominations are stitched-together monsters created by the Scourge, zombie-type monsters pieced together from countless corpses.
Beside him were some ghouls, monsters resembling small dogs with sharp teeth and crawling limbs, who were also attacking the human army.
"What kind of monster is this?" a soldier from Lordaeron exclaimed in terror.
"No matter what it is, the Holy Light will prevail! Slay these monsters, warriors of Lordaeron!" A man about two meters tall, wearing magnificent armor, with long golden hair and wielding a warhammer, roared and charged forward to fight the enormous abomination.
A blonde woman, holding an ice-blue staff and wearing a blue and white robe, with her fair belly exposed, waved her staff, chanted a spell, and summoned a blue water elemental that was about two and a half meters tall.
The appearance of the massive water elemental immediately relieved the pressure on the mortal soldiers, while the female mage also occasionally unleashed ice arrows to attack the monster in front of her, slowing its movements.
Upon seeing this combination, Rhode was certain that he had indeed arrived in Azeroth. The person below was Arthas, the dutiful son, and Jaina, the female mage.
This should be the fourth chapter of the human campaign, the timeline where Arthas is ordered to investigate the East Wilder region with Jaina, and they are about to arrive in Andorhal.
It was here that Arthas first learned about the Cult of the Damned and encountered Kel'Thuzad, who, while fleeing, unleashed an abomination created by the Scourge.
At this very moment, the prince of Lordaeron has officially fallen into the Scourge's trap, step by step heading towards the abyss.
Rhodes's gaze fell upon the enormous abomination; this was a good thing!
These are top-tier experience points, we can't waste them. Rhode plans to use Magic Arrow to steal the kill later.
The initial damage of the Magic Arrow is only 10 points plus twice the power. If I attack now, I should be able to deal 30 points of damage.
In Heroes of Might and Magic, 30 points of damage would be considered an attack level in Azeroth.
An ordinary spearman has only 10 health points, while a crusader has 35 health points.
Rhodes narrowed his eyes and began to observe the battle closely. Some human soldiers were no match for the ghouls and were injured!
Upon seeing this, Arthas immediately raised his warhammer high, and a golden light shone on the wounded soldier, instantly healing him.
"The Holy Light blesses us!"
A few minutes later, the enormous abomination was almost dead. Rhodes seized the opportunity, stood up, and threw a magical arrow.
A blue energy, resembling a bolt of lightning or a giant energy bird flying in the sky, flew from Rhodes's palm and struck the Abomination directly.
With a deafening roar, the mountain of abominations was instantly blasted to pieces, along with several small dogs (ghouls) around it, all of which were also blown to pieces.
This unexpected turn of events stunned Arthas, the sorceress Jaina, and a group of human soldiers.
Ding dong! A glorious victory! Rhodes gained 160 experience points.
Your Eagle Eye spell has been triggered. Through careful observation and study of this battle, you have grasped the mysteries of arcane magic and holy light. Congratulations on learning Flash of Light and Frostbolt.
Flash of Holy Light: Consumes one mana to summon powerful holy light to attack undead or demonic creatures, or to heal allies.
Frostbolt: Every 10 Frostbolts consume 1 mana point, allowing you to continuously attack your opponent, dealing damage and slowing them down.
This suggestion stunned Rhodes!
The paladin's Holy Light Flash and the mage's Frostbolt were actually learned by Eagle Eye!
Holy crap! I'm about to take off!
If you can steal these two spells, it means you can steal all kinds of spells in the world of Azeroth.
This isn't some kind of Hawkeye technique! This should be the Sharingan!
Hawkeye is so weak! No, no, from now on Hawkeye is my ultimate weapon.
"Don't worry Arthas, a mage friend helped us."
Chapter 6 Stealing Spells, Holy Light Deceives You
There are so many spellcasting classes in Azeroth! Rhodes even considered secretly learning Druid, Scholar, and Priest spells in the future.
At that time, one will wield the power of holy light in one hand, the power of fel energy in one hand, and arcane radiance above one's head. The power of shadow will be at one's command, and death and life energy will always be by one's side.
A true domination of the six fundamental forces! It's not a dream at all.
Rhodes stood up in a very friendly manner, waved to the crowd below the mountain, and said, "Let's go and fleece these two first. Paladin spells and ice mage spells, I'm here!"
Rhodes originally only planned to grab some experience, say hello, and leave, but now that Eagle Eye is so useful, he has to seize the opportunity.
Rhodes intends to follow the two of them!
After seeing his enemy killed, Arthas paused for a moment, then looked warily at the blurry figure on the mountaintop, unsure whether it was friend or foe.
However, the female mage first comforted the little prince beside her, helping them slay the evil undead. At least this action wasn't against the enemy, and his behavior was benevolent.
Upon hearing this, Arthas breathed a sigh of relief, put away his weapon, and nodded slightly to the figure in the distance.
I was indeed too tense just now. Those who can help them are at least not enemies.
“I am Arthas Menethil, Prince of Lordaeron. I am very grateful for your help.”
The language spoken by the other party was clearly neither Chinese nor English, but for some reason, Rod was able to understand it clearly.
Perhaps it's because after time travel, my body has been digitized, and I've gained the benefits of the hero panel!
Rhodes summoned a black steed and headed downwards. Although he had only traveled a few hours, he had already studied his hero attributes.
Like other heroes, he can ride a horse when moving in the wild, and he carries his army in his personal space.
When the person arrived, Arthas and the female mage were both surprised. They had thought that the person who made the move was a powerful mage, but the other party's appearance was a little strange.
Wearing an unidentified black short-sleeved shirt embroidered with several characters they couldn't understand, and a pair of baggy shorts, without even a staff, he looked extremely strange.
"Good day, both of you. My name is Rhodes. You could call me a traveler?" Rhodes nodded slightly to the two of them.
I really have to thank these two. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have been able to learn Flash of Light and Frostbolt.
Following these two, I should be able to learn more knight or mage skills, right?
Anyway, I have Eagle Eye, so I can learn it after watching it a couple more times. My Eagle Eye seems to be slightly different from the one in the game.
Not only can they learn from the enemy, but they can also learn from friendly forces or neutral troops.
