"Okay, everyone. It's a very simple thing—just a snap of your fingers, just one snap."
Bruce Banner stood in front of the makeshift control panel. On his right arm, which had been fused with the Hulk's power, six Infinity Stones were embedded in Stark's specially made nanotech glove, emitting a faint glow.
Fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, and his voice trembled slightly—but it wasn't fear, but rather a kind of almost pious anticipation.
The people around held their breath.
Clint Barton—the man who once killed in the darkness under the alias "Ronin"—leans against the edge of the ruins, his hands clenched tightly, his knuckles white.
His eyes were fixed on Banner's hand, his heart pounding.
Banner took a deep breath.
Then--
Snapped.
A crisp snap of the fingers.
The six gems simultaneously erupted with dazzling light, and seven-colored energy surged out like a tide, spreading outwards from Banner in all directions.
The light pierced through the ruins, through the clouds, through the barriers of time and space, and spread throughout the entire universe.
The light lasted for about three seconds.
Then, it receded like the tide.
Banner swayed, and his right arm visibly charred and withered.
He staggered backward, and Tony and Steve rushed forward to support him.
"Banner!" Tony's voice was full of tension.
"I'm fine..." Banner gasped for breath, his lips pale, but a weary smile appeared on his face. "I'm fine. It's just... I might need to replace that arm."
Someone laughed out loud. It was a laugh tinged with tears.
Then--
Ring ring. Ring ring.
It was a telephone ringing.
Clint Barton was stunned.
He stiffly lowered his head and looked at the old flip phone at his waist—the only memento he had left after losing his family.
He would take it out to look at it every day, hoping it would ring every day, but it never did. Never.
At that moment, it rang.
The screen lit up, displaying three words: Laura.
Clint's hands trembled. He could hardly believe his eyes, and dared not answer the phone—fearing it was all an illusion, fearing that if he reached out, everything would vanish.
"Clint," Steve's voice sounded behind him, gentle yet firm. "Catch it."
Clint pressed the answer button with trembling hands.
"Feed...feed?"
A voice came from the other end of the phone—a voice he had longed to hear, a voice he thought he would never hear again.
"dad?"
That was his daughter's voice.
Clint's legs buckled, and he almost collapsed to his knees. He gripped his phone tightly, as if it were the most precious thing in the world.
Tears welled up and streamed down his weathered face.
He couldn't speak, he just kept nodding and sobbing, as if he wanted to turn all the pain, regret and despair of the past years into tears.
His wife, his daughter, his children—they all came back.
That damn snap, it actually worked.
"Ding ding ding— ding ding ding—"
Someone started it, and people began imitating the sound of a bell.
Then more people joined in, and laughter, cheers, and cries mingled together, echoing through the ruins.
"I think..." Tony watched this scene, a smile playing on his lips, "it seems like it's a success."
Then--
Rumble!!!
That sound wasn't a cheer.
The sound came from overhead—a massive, space-tearing roar.
Everyone looked up abruptly.
In the sky, a massive rift appeared out of nowhere. Red and blue light burst forth from the rift, and an incredibly huge spaceship was slowly emerging from it.
It was so big that just a corner of it protruding blocked out half the sky.
"What is that?!" someone exclaimed.
But no one had time to answer.
boom--!!!
The spaceship's nose struck the main building of the base. The entire base trembled violently the moment the red and blue energy shield collided with the concrete and steel.
The massive shockwave knocked people to the ground, and pieces of reinforced concrete rained down.
Fortunately, the spaceship was still under quantum constraint when it was teleported over—its structure hadn't fully unfolded. Otherwise, its sheer size would have been enough to grind the entire base to dust.
But even so, that's enough.
As the smoke and dust cleared, people could see the real threat in the sky—
Temple Number Two.
Thanos's warship.
Moreover, there was more than one.
Around Temple Two, countless spatial portals are opening.
One after another, strangely shaped warships emerged from them—they were neither Chitauri ships nor Sakaar gladiators.
Their designs are more austere, with sharper lines, and they are entirely silver-gray, covered with a dense array of weapon systems.
"We're one person short," Steve's voice suddenly rang out, low and heavy.
Everyone quickly looked around—
nebula.
The nebula has disappeared.
But there's no time to think about that anymore.
In the sky, the cannons of Temple II began to turn, aiming at the ground.
The crowd scattered and sought cover during the lulls in the explosions.
Amidst this chaos, the six Infinity Stones lay quietly amidst the ruins—they were cosmic relics, impossible to be damaged by gunfire.
Thanos had plenty of confidence.
now.
Inside the command module of Temple II.
Thanos stood in front of the huge porthole, looking down at the burning Earth below.
Behind him, the Black Order stood in a line—Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Black Dwarf, Supergiant, and…
An uninvited guest.
"This is what you call your 'target'?" a slightly mocking voice rang out. "A bunch of inferior beings from a civilization that hasn't even left its own planet? Thanos, aren't you being a little too cautious?"
The speaker was a silver robot. He was much shorter than Thanos—only about 1.5 meters tall—but his entire body was almost entirely covered with sophisticated weapon systems.
Energy cannons, particle blades, force field generators... every inch of metal skin conceals deadly dangers.
He stood before the black dwarf without fear.
Black Dwarf—the warrior who was over two meters tall and possessed immense strength—remained silent and even took a slight step back.
No one dared to stand up and refute it.
Because they had witnessed the robot's power firsthand.
This guy accidentally wandered into their world from some remote corner of the universe, leading a fleet called "Space Pirates," and fought Thanos's army to a standstill.
Finally, they released a gigantic mantis-like creature—Sagros—
With one strike, it nearly cleaved the black dwarf in two.
Look, the mechanical arm that Black Dwarf has now been fitted with was a gift from space pirates.
As for Dean—this seemingly unremarkable space pirate captain—he unleashed a series of unimaginable fighting prowess.
Thanos personally charged forward with his double-edged sword to fight the opponent one-on-one. After fighting for a long time, they barely managed to even the score.
Fortunately, Dean is a bad guy with principles—he's not willing to waste time on cosmic warlords.
He simply discovered unusual travel records in this universe, so under his boss's orders, he followed the trail to this world and incidentally discovered the Infinity Stones.
"Let's get this straight." Dean stepped forward, standing shoulder to shoulder with Thanos—though he only reached Thanos's waist, his presence was in no way inferior. "I'll help you get the Infinity Stones. But, after you've made your wish—"
He turned his head, and his eyes, hidden behind the metal mask, gleamed with a dangerous light.
"Then it's my turn."
There was not a trace of humility in his tone.
As a veteran villain who has fought against countless dark elves, the Kree Empire, and the Shi'ar Empire, he knows very well that among a group of villains, he must show his edge and gain the right to speak.
Otherwise, they'll treat you like a dish, devouring you whole, bones and all.
Thanos slowly turned his head and scrutinized the small robot.
His face showed neither anger nor mockery. Only a calm, almost scrutinizing gaze.
He has seen through the future of this world.
He knew what he needed to do—
He will completely eliminate all life in this world and then give it a great new life.
Whether it's for that colossal being traversing the universe, or for this group of ignorant people, in every world, universe, and civilization, everything is so greedy, cunning, and self-righteous. Those people always hold the highest position, relentlessly squandering the world's already finite resources.
"I will give you the gems," Thanos said, his voice deep and rumbling like thunder, "but all of this must wait until we have obtained those six gems."
"That's for the best," Dean scoffed.
Thanos withdrew his gaze, lost in thought.
He had never heard of this suddenly appearing "space pirate".
He had searched through all the classical texts on the mysteries of the universe, but still couldn't figure out where the other party came from.
And that mantis named Sagros—why does that special creature's combat power quadruple under the enemy's command?
One of them took on the four Obsidian Generals on his side and almost killed Black Dwarf.
Although he doesn't have any Infinity Stones yet, his raw power has already reached the level of a sub-Celestial.
He couldn't understand it.
But it doesn't matter.
"The portal is open." Ebony Maw's voice sounded from behind, tinged with a hint of obsequious flattery. "My lord, the army is ready."
Thanos nodded slightly.
next moment.
Countless teleportation devices activated simultaneously. Blue light bloomed across the ground, sky, and sea. Countless armies surged forth like a tidal wave—the Vanguard, Thanos's most loyal and ruthless hounds.
They ran on all fours like wild beasts, drool dripping from their mouths, their eyes gleaming with bloodlust.
They spread across the entire land like a swarm of locusts, leaving nothing but barren land in their wake.
On the other side, a similar number of blue-purple robots also appeared at the same time.
They are small in stature, but the laser cannons in their hands emit a dangerous light—powerful enough to threaten a god.
"Find the gems." Thanos's voice echoed throughout the army via the communication channel. "Bring them back."
The vanguard let out piercing howls and began frantically burrowing into the ground—this kind of underground foraging was best left to these beasts.
Dean stood aside, watching all of this quietly.
He raised his hand, stopping Zog and Allison behind him from their urge to send people in as well.
"Let them go on their own," he said calmly. "We'll just wait."
Zog and Allison exchanged a glance and nodded quickly.
After all, for Dean, this was purely a chance encounter. Since that was the case, he might as well come and take a look. Besides, he wasn't sure if Infinity Stones existed in his world.
Allison even cleverly retrieved the fighter jet that General Dean was accustomed to using from the equipment's storage space—
It was a small, silver-gray hovercraft with a sleek design and fierce firepower.
Dean leaped lightly and boarded the fighter jet.
His height increased instantly, reaching the same level as Thanos.
The two rulers of the universe stood side by side, one on the left and one on the right, looking down at the burning earth below.
They are waiting.
Waiting for the hunt to end.
Waiting for the six gems to be brought before them.
Waiting—
The final outcome.
