Chapter 23: The Banquet
Chapter 23: The Banquet
"Miss Sylvania, I thought you had already left."
"Of course not." Cidelyn gave King Edward a blank smile. "I just went to the restroom."
"Brought out of the toilet...the beautiful Miss Migludia?" Edward chuckled, his smile undoubtedly more genuine than Catherine's.
Seeing his smile, Loki quickly adopted a somewhat awkward and silly noble greeting: "Greetings, Your Majesty..."
"Hahahaha..." Loki's somewhat comical appearance seemed to make Edward laugh even harder. He shook his head with a smile and said, "No need for that, Miss Migludia."
"Miss Sylvania and I are old friends," he said slowly. "We have a very good relationship... As her only student, you don't need to be like that."
The teacher actually knows the king... and they're on good terms?
Loki looked at Cinderella with some surprise, only to find Cinderella standing expressionlessly in front of her: "Edward, I suppose you still have a lot of things to take care of?"
"Now that the banquet has begun, may I, your student, take a look around on my own?"
"Miss Sylvania..." Edward understood why she was so resistant to his communication with Loki, so he shrugged helplessly, "Then I'll take my leave."
Have a great time!
"Ah... Your Majesty... Your Majesty?" Watching Edward walk away, Loki felt a little surprised. She thought the king would chat with them for a bit... Why did he leave as soon as the teacher spoke...?
"What's wrong? Are you reluctant to part with him?"
"Ah... Teacher?" Loki looked at Cinderella with some surprise and noticed that her red eyes, hidden under her hood, were glowing slightly.
"No...no, that's not true, teacher," Luo Qixi quickly explained. "I was just a little surprised."
"Don't let anything happen," Catherine said calmly. "It's better to get this person out of your head as soon as possible... anyway, your head can't hold that much anyway."
The teacher seems a little unhappy... Is it because she doesn't like the king?
But they were clearly friends, and the teacher didn't deny it...
Loki had no idea how much effort Cinderella had put in to prevent her from being targeted by a perverted lolicon.
"Alright... I need to rest for a bit." Cidel said, gently rubbing her forehead. "I clearly suggested that the coronation would be better at night... but he just wouldn't agree."
As she spoke, Catherine slowly walked to a chair in the shadows and sat down.
"You're free to... play here for a while," Catherine said to Loki after thinking for a moment. "I'm going to take a nap first..."
"Remember to call me when the banquet is over."
"Teacher...?"
Looking at her teacher sleeping at the King's banquet, Luo Qixi actually felt a little used to it... After all, he was her teacher, so it didn't seem strange that he did anything like that.
So her gaze fell upon the hall at that moment.
The king's coronation ceremony has ended, and now it's time for the banquet... As a young girl, it would be a lie to say she didn't long for such a banquet... But... looking at those elegantly dressed nobles, Loki instinctively tugged at the hem of her dress.
She was naturally wearing the La Noah University uniform...
If I had known I would be coming here, I would have changed my clothes... although I don't really have anything decent to wear...
But it's still better than a school uniform, right?
Wearing her school uniform, she felt out of place... especially in a place full of impressive people... Luo Qixi lowered her head slightly and didn't even dare to look up.
The teacher is amazing... the teacher is even more impressive... she even fell asleep in this situation...
Hmm... I'm even drooling...
Luo Qixi pursed her lips as she looked at the sleeping Cinderella.
In the end, she didn't know what to do... and just then, a voice rang in her ear.
"Are you Miss Lokishi Migrudia, a student of Principal Sidrin Sylvania?"
"Hmm?" Luo Qixi turned around slightly and saw a smiling young man. He was handsome with his eyes narrowed, but he gave people a very mature and experienced feeling.
"Let me introduce myself... I am Philip Boreas Grerat from the Kingdom of Asra." The young man performed a proper noble greeting, appearing quite polite.
"Hello... Hello." Upon seeing this, Luo Qixi hurriedly and carefully returned the greeting, but she was really not good at these things, so her movements appeared particularly clumsy.
"Keep your hand in this arc, Miss Migludia," Philip said with a gentle smile, demonstrating for Loki.
"Th-thank you... thank you." Luo Qixi nodded to him somewhat awkwardly.
"It's alright." Philip nodded gently and said, "Shall we talk over here so as not to disturb Principal Sylvania?"
"Ah... okay..." Luo Qixi wondered if the teacher had seen her drooling...
Following Philip, the two walked to another corner of the banquet hall. Looking at the nobles inside, Philip took a sip of the wine he had taken from a waiter and said, "Miss Migrudia is a demon, isn't she?"
"Hmm...hmm." Luo Qixi nodded somewhat awkwardly.
"Don't get me wrong." Philip shrugged. "I don't have any prejudice against demons... I just admire you a little."
"For a demon to be able to study at Lanoa Magic University... that must be very far from your hometown, right?"
He was an unexpectedly polite person… Luo Qixi nodded slightly, a little pleased: “It is indeed very far from my hometown.”
Philip listened to her words and nodded gently: "Ah... Magic University is such a nice place."
"I once wanted to go there to learn magic," he said, shrugging. "But unfortunately... my father said I should be a nobleman, not a magician."
"But to be honest, I think being a magician might suit me better." Philip said, taking another sip of his drink and looking at Lokishi: "Miss Migrudia, what rank of magician are you now?"
"A high-level water mage..."
"My superiors..." Philip said, seemingly a little envious, "Then I'm sure you, as the principal's student, will soon become the Water Saint, right?"
His words prompted Luo Qixi to quickly explain, "No... it's hard to say. Becoming a Water Saint requires not only a sufficient amount of magic power, but also time... and skills, etc. I'm still far from being a Water Saint."
Her answer startled Philip for a moment, then he chuckled.
What's wrong? Was my answer strange?
Lokishi didn't know much about the Kingdom of Asura and didn't know what kind of place it was.
"It's nothing, it's nothing." Philip smiled and shook his head. "I'm just a little surprised... by your answer."
"Such a serious answer is rare in this situation," Philip said, winking. "Miss Migludia...after graduation, do you have any plans to work in the Kingdom of Asura?"
"Huh...huh?"
"I am from the Boreas Grerat family, and the territory of Fituia, which borders the Kingdom of Lanoa, is our family's secular domain," Philip said, looking at Loki. "If you are interested after graduation, you can come to Rorschach in the territory of Fituia to find me."
"I would be very happy to have you become the magician of our family."
