Chapter 83 Screams
Chapter 83 Screams
Professor X remained silent. Vega's words were concise, yet they went straight to the heart of the matter.
For politicians, extraordinary individuals are the biggest destabilizing factor in society, whether they are super criminals or superheroes.
Supervillains threaten their lives, while superheroes take away their power.
This is the root cause of why mutants are not accepted and have been persecuted. He is well aware of this and has no power to change it.
Magneto believed that turning all humans into mutants would solve the problem, but he knew it was impossible.
Whether all humans become mutants or become ordinary humans, as long as differences in culture, belief, race, nation, wealth, class, and so on exist within humanity, conflict will never disappear.
Professor X quickly composed himself and asked, "Mr. Li, what brings you to our universe?"
Vega: "I randomly selected the universe just to verify one thing."
Professor X: "Is it convenient to say it?"
"There's nothing I can't say." Vega used his mental powers to create a sofa for himself and sat down. Then, while projecting virtual images, he explained, "Professor, does the Avengers exist in this universe? Are they fictional characters from anime and movies?"
"Oh, it's nothing. There are no mutants in my universe, but the Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D., Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel are real."
Of course, many things don't unfold like in anime or movies. For example, the Battle of New York involved more than just a few streets; it affected several states.
"Before opening the portal, Loki controlled a carrier strike group and launched several ballistic missiles carrying nuclear warheads at many important locations."
I was able to break free of his control, so I went to rescue the carrier strike group. Who knew that this bastard would detonate the reactors and all the missiles on the carrier and the nuclear submarine?
"To escape the terrible explosion, I hid in a special space, then got lost in it and accidentally entered the 'Carnivore' universe, where I unexpectedly gained the Phoenix Force."
"It took me more than a month to digest the Phoenix Force. After that, with Deadpool's help, I returned to my universe and, together with the other superhumans, quelled the war."
"I thought that was the end of it, but who knew that soon after, the Phoenix Force would transport me to a universe full of zombies without warning."
At the same time, a mission came to mind: to save that Earth.
"It was then that I realized that my entry into the 'Carnivore' universe and obtaining the Phoenix Force was probably not an accident, but rather something that was deliberately arranged by someone."
"About three months ago, I entered a Lego world again without warning. I stayed there for more than two months and did not encounter the world-ending danger that I had encountered before. However, I did find out who was guiding me in the dark."
"It was the Lord who guided me to obtain the power of the phoenix, and it was also He who guided me to save the world."
"Why did the Lord choose me? Well, maybe it's because I'm too idle, and He couldn't stand it anymore."
"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Actually, I am an angel, the agent personally appointed by God on earth."
Vega revealed his true form as a four-winged seraph and hung the relic, the Tear of Remedios, around his neck: "I'm not joking. Of course, Professor, you don't need to feel restrained. I'm a very peaceful person."
"I've been thinking about it these past few days, and it's probably because I've been too idle that the Lord came up with this surprise attack."
I felt it wasn't good to always trouble God, so I voluntarily left home and began searching for a world in need of help.
"If I encounter a universe that needs help, I will lend a hand; if I encounter a universe that doesn't need help, I will still try to learn more about it and make more friends."
As the saying goes, having more friends means having more options.
The Avengers in this universe have not been formed, and the superheroes who can help them are all busy with their own lives and rarely contact each other.
If we can't count on these bastards, then we'll find some powerful and reliable helpers from other universes. When we encounter an enemy we can't handle, we'll gather everyone together to save the world.
Of course, besides this main purpose, Vega has another small issue that needs to be verified, but it's not convenient to say it out loud.
"Are you telling the truth?" Professor X was very surprised and incredulous to learn that Vega was God's agent on earth and that he was saved by God's guidance, even though he could confirm that Vega was not lying.
The Avengers don't exist in this universe, but legendary gods like the Norse, Olympian, and Egyptian gods do.
He felt no awe for these gods, but the Lord was the supreme being in his heart.
"Of course, huh?" Vega suddenly let out a soft exclamation. In reality, he was standing on the grass and turned to look south. He sensed a fairly strong fluctuation of dark energy not far away.
"Hmm?" Professor X, who was focusing his mental energy on Vega, also sensed it. He extended his mental energy over and discovered five unfamiliar young mutants.
Vega rose into the air and then saw a red Gothic building in the woods a few kilometers away.
It was daytime, but the place was pitch black, and the source of the darkness was right there.
Professor X: "There are five young mutants over there who are in danger. Mr. Li, could you go and help them?"
"No problem," Vega agreed, and then quickly flew towards that location.
Boom! A few seconds later, Vega flew to the castle and crashed headfirst into an invisible energy shield.
The powerful impact caused ripples in the void, and a golden wave appeared at the point of impact.
Professor X: "Sorry, I'll deactivate the protective shield immediately."
"No need." Vega chuckled. The energy fluctuations of the protective shield weren't that strong; he could handle it.
Vega stretched out his right hand, grasped the Hammer of Punishment, and then raised it above his head and slammed it down with all his might.
With a loud bang, the energy shield was smashed open, creating a large hole, and Vega slipped inside.
Once inside, Vega became even more sensitive to the aura of darkness. He discovered that the aura of darkness was very pure, yet it seemed to be a manifestation of spiritual power.
As he thought this, Vega released the power of holy light. A dazzling golden light burst forth, and the darkness began to melt away rapidly, like dew meeting the scorching sun.
"Ah, help!" A heart-wrenching cry for help came from inside the building. Vega's expression changed slightly, then he rushed over like lightning...
