[Spatial Control]: Lock onto the folded entrance.
"Gamble."
he said to himself.
Then, like a loaded bullet, he transformed into a golden light and plunged headlong into the invisible crack.
The feeling of passing through the folds of space was a million times worse than he had imagined.
If wormholes are boiling water, then this place is a meat grinder capable of crushing stars.
His body was stretched in an instant, then flattened in the next. Multicolored lights, like sharp knives, sliced through his consciousness.
Countless chaotic images and sounds flooded my mind. Burning galaxies, newly born planets, monsters devouring each other in the void. The images flashed by, too fast to distinguish between reality and illusion.
If it were a god like Thor, his soul would be instantly torn apart in such a place.
However, Chu Hang's consciousness was firmly protected by the [Will Barrier]. His body, under the dual protection of [Spatial Control] and [Twin Star Form], was like an icebreaker tossed about in a storm, teetering on the brink of collapse, but never falling apart.
He gritted his teeth, focusing all his will on one point—forward.
I don't know how long it took to run.
Just as the energy was about to run out, a point of light suddenly appeared in front of them.
With his last ounce of strength, he lunged at the straw like a drowning man, rushing forward.
A golden fireball, trailing a long tail, tore through the azure sky of a planet.
A violent sonic boom cloud exploded in the air.
On the ground, in a futuristic city, countless aircraft experienced minor chaos.
Countless people looked up, staring in astonishment at the beam of fire.
"Meteorite?"
"Look! It's slowing down!"
"My God, it looks like a person!"
Chu Hang burst through the folds and plunged into the atmosphere, bursting into flames.
He quickly adjusted his posture, switched the [Adaptive Armor] to heat insulation mode, and used the [Spatial Curvature Barrier] to create a shock cone in front of him, dissipating most of the heat and impact.
As the flames faded, his body, enveloped in golden energy, was revealed.
He steadied himself, hovering high in the air, looking down at the city below.
Contrary to his expectations, the place was not chaotic and dilapidated, but rather full of order and beauty.
The buildings have sleek lines, and aircraft move in an orderly fashion through tiered flight paths. The entire city resembles a giant work of art.
Peace and prosperity.
Not wanting to cause trouble, he chose an open area that resembled a public square and landed slowly.
He landed on his feet. Although he absorbed most of the impact, the high-strength composite material ground beneath his feet still cracked like a spiderweb for more than ten meters.
The surrounding civilians gasped in alarm and scattered in fear.
The piercing alarm immediately echoed throughout the city.
Three combat ships, shaped like golden stars, flew in from three directions and hovered above his head.
The hatch opened, and twelve soldiers dressed in identical gold uniforms and carrying energy rifles descended in flight packs, surrounding him.
Their movements were synchronized and well-trained.
The leading officer stepped forward, raised his weapon, and shouted a warning in a language Chu Hang couldn't understand.
Chu Hang couldn't understand the words, but he could sense the wariness and command in the tone.
He slowly raised his hands to indicate that he meant no harm.
However, the golden flames on his body that were not completely concealed were obviously not very convincing.
"Repeating! Unidentified intruder! Immediately deactivate your energy form and submit to inspection!" the officer warned again, as the soldiers behind him had already pointed their guns at him.
Chu Hang frowned; the language barrier was indeed a problem.
The officer seemed to lose patience and waved his arm.
A large net woven from blue energy shot out from a combat ship and descended overhead.
He wanted to see the level of technology here.
The energy net landed on him, tightened rapidly, and emitted a crackling sound of electricity.
A voice came from inside the officer's helmet: "Target acquired, energy level... wait! What is he doing?"
Chu Hang simply shrugged, and the golden energy on his body surged suddenly.
The energy net, like an ordinary fishing net, was instantly torn apart, turning into specks of blue light that dissipated into the air.
All the soldiers were stunned.
"Fire! Use the second-level paralysis ray!" the officer ordered immediately.
More than a dozen yellow energy beams shot towards Chu Hang simultaneously.
Chu Hang was getting impatient. The space in front of him distorted slightly, and the rays seemed to be shot into water, their trajectories deflected, and they all hit the open ground next to him, leaving only small, charred craters.
Chu Hang said softly.
His figure disappeared from the spot.
The next second, he appeared behind the officer, gently placing a hand on his shoulder.
The officer's hair stood on end. He tried to turn around, but found himself pinned down as if by a mountain, unable to move.
"Don't be nervous," Chu Hang's voice rang in his ear.
As he spoke, he pulled off a watch-like device from the officer's wrist, put it on his own, and pressed a few buttons.
A screen was projected, displaying incomprehensible text. He randomly clicked on an icon that looked like "Settings," then found the "Language" option, browsed through it, and quickly found the universal language.
The device emitted a slight mechanical sound, followed by a soft electronic voice: "Common language switching complete."
"Alright." Chu Hang released the officer, took two steps back, and waved the translator in his hand. "Now, we can talk. Tell me, where is this?"
The officer, still shaken, turned around and looked at the unharmed, powerful man who inspired despair. He then glanced at the translator on the man's wrist, which belonged to him, and swallowed hard.
“This…this is Xandar,” he replied in a trembling voice, “the capital of the Nova Empire.”
Chu Hang was stunned for a moment.
This name sounds familiar.
My brain raced, matching the name with movie plots that flashed through my mind.
A name popped up.
Guardians of the Galaxy.
He suddenly remembered. Xandar, the headquarters of the Nova Corps, Ronan the Accuser's target, and... the Sphere.
That thing that contains the Power Stone!
He wasn't randomly thrown into some godforsaken place.
He was thrown to the starting point of another main storyline!
The way home is here!
The power of the Power Stone and the spatial energy of the Cosmic Cube are both Infinity Stones.
Once you obtain the Power Stone, you can use the resonance between the two to locate Earth's position and then tear through space to return!
Even if all else fails, he can ask Star-Lord to take him back.
Chapter 113 First Encounter with Star-Lord
Chu Hang tossed the translator back to the officer.
“I’m not here to fight,” he said in his newly learned Common Tongue, his voice flat. “I’m a traveler whose ship has crashed and fallen into a nearby space fold. I need a star map and some energy supplies.”
The officer, of course, didn't believe it. A traveler who could tear through an energy net with his bare hands and make bullets curve? What kind of traveler was that powerful?
"You need to prove your purpose." The officer was cautious, his hand never leaving the weapon at his waist.
"Proof?" Chu Hang found it somewhat laughable. He didn't want to waste time, but it seemed he had no choice but to show off his skills.
He didn't raise his hand or make any extra movements; he simply looked calmly at the twelve soldiers in front of him.
The next second, the barrels of the energy rifles in the hands of the twelve soldiers simultaneously lit up with a blinding red light, as if they had been thrown into a furnace.
"My gun!"
The scalding pain caused the soldiers to scream and drop their weapons. A dozen high-tech rifles lay on the ground, their barrels melting and deforming like candles, emitting wisps of smoke.
The whole process took less than two seconds, and Chu Hang didn't even blink.
The square was deathly silent.
The officer looked at the molten alloy on the ground, then at the unharmed Chu Hang, his face beneath his helmet already deathly pale.
This silent, targeted attack method is more terrifying than any artillery fire.
He immediately reported everything that was happening here through the internal channel at the highest level of urgency.
Nova Corps Headquarters, Supreme Command Center.
Nova Supreme Iranie Reyle is watching the live feed on the screen.
When she saw the rifles melting without warning, even the battle-hardened commander sat up straight.
"Have you analyzed the energy reaction yet?" she asked in a deep voice.
“Unable to analyze, Your Excellency.” A technician’s voice trembled. “There are no energy fluctuations around him. It’s like… it’s like the laws of physics themselves have been altered. There’s no match in our database.”
Iranie Rael remained silent.
She knew very well that beings of this caliber could either become friends or devastating enemies. And the Nova Empire, having just survived a major war, could not afford to make another enemy like this.
"Give him his request," she commanded decisively. "Give him the highest level of access to the star map and any resources he needs. Don't provoke him; get him out of here as soon as possible. Classify his file as 'unknown threat,' at the highest level of security."
