Chapter 645: Making A Deal.
Chapter 645: Making A Deal.
In exchange for being reasonable, he was to be given the coordinates of four small worlds in less than a week. The four small worlds must also be at least 10 million square kilometers in size.
Loki was the one who drafted the contract. He bought a divine contract from the sect with some of the divine merit points that he just acquired and put in the terms of the agreement into the contract.
Since he was the one writing the contract, he tried to sneak in some other benefits, like a non-aggression clause that would make the members of the Thorn House of Commerce not attack him. Money Body refused to sign the contract because of this.
The two sides went back and forth many times about this for a while. Loki reduced what he was asking for and asked for ten years of amnesty between them. But Money Body countered with an offer not to try to kill him for one day.
At the end of the day, the Thorn House of Commerce agreed not to try to kill him for one year. With this arrangement, the two sides were finally satisfied.
To be fair, only Loki was satisfied with the deal. Monarch Money Body and the members of his alliance were fuming and gearing to tear him apart. But no matter how angry they were with him, they could only sign the contract and seal the deal.
After signing the contract, Loki smiled at Forced Exchange and said, "I used to hate seeing your face. But after this deal, I’ve changed my mind about you. I now think that you are my shining star."
Forced Exchange didn’t even offer him a forced smile or fake politeness. The man looked like he had just been raped as he gritted his teeth and said, "You have one year. In one year, you’re dead meat."
But Loki only laughed and said, "We shall see."
In response, Forced Exchange snorted loudly as if his displeasure at being violated wasn’t already obvious on his face. Then he removed the blockade of his Cave Heaven and left.
Since the fight was over, Loki decided to deal with Monarch Money Construct. He said to the captured money cultivator, "Do you have any small worlds lying around that you can use to redeem your life?"
Monarch Money Construct thought long and hard about the question before shaking his head and saying, "I don’t have one."
His words displeased Loki. He glared at the captured money cultivator and said, "If you didn’t have a small world, why did it take you so long to answer? What was there to remember or consider? Either you have a small world or not."
"I’m going to ask again. Think carefully about the question before you answer. While you’re thinking, take note that your life depends on his question."
But before he could ask again, Money Construct shook his head vehemently and said, "I might know where a small world or two are. It is only a possibility, but if I do know, it is also possible that I’ve signed a contract not to reveal their location or existence. So there is nothing I can do."
His behavior made Loki smile and say, "You seem nonchalant for someone who is about to die. I wonder why that is the case. Do you care to tell me?"
Monarch Money Construct shrugged and said, "I have made peace with my death. There is also the possibility that you won’t kill me because there is nothing to gain from it."
Loki’s eyes narrowed when he heard this. His eyes became chilling as he said, "Is that so? What makes you think so?"
He looked like he would kill at any moment, but Monarch Money Construct wasn’t intimidated. He said, "Don’t try to scare me here. You and I know that what I said is the truth."
"You won’t gain anything from me if you kill me. The greatest beneficiaries if you kill me would be the Thorn House of Commerce. This is because they have the resources to find a more compliant replacement for me if I die."
"So if you kill me, you will only be strengthening the Thorn House of Commerce. This is why I think the smart thing you should do is keep me alive and let me help you in your fight against the Thorn House of Commerce."
He droned on and on about how it was a better option to keep him alive. At some point, he noticed that Loki wasn’t interested, so he became anxious with his explanations.
Unfortunately, he didn’t have any tangible benefits to offer. He only had a lot of meaningless words to say to Loki, so Loki killed him.
After killing him, Loki created three manifestations of Fenrir. He sent the three manifestations to find the Cave Heaven of the three divine beings that he just killed. As for himself, he went back to the Blessed Heaven World.
He went to the Blessed Heaven World to get the mutated Life Abilities that he had his eyes on. The first one was the mutated Craftsman’s Hammer that belonged to a certain rank 5 forger who was on the path of being killed.
The second mutated Life Ability that he was interested in was the mutated Floating Furnace Life Ability. This time, he went directly after Greg.
He used his privilege as an elder to dismiss Greg from his position as a captain in the Earthly Battlefield. Then he stayed outside the Earthly Battlefield waiting for Greg.
This should work in that Greg should leave the Earthly Battlefield and fall into his hands, but he also did something else to make sure that he would get Greg.
He created a puppet which he sent into the Earthly Battlefield. The puppet gained access to the Earthly Battlefield because Loki used his privilege as an elder of the sect to assign the puppet there.
As it turned out, what he feared really happened. After he was dismissed, Greg refused to leave the Earthly Battlefield.
