Chapter 508: Dragon Scales Shatter! Crushed by 120,000
Chapter 508: Dragon Scales Shatter! Crushed by 120,000
"Who's next? Or will you all come at once?"
Kaido's voice echoed over the ruins. Jeice's red face twitched violently. He raised his hand and smacked the scouter on his left eye, but the red numbers stubbornly remained at thirty thousand.
"This piece of junk is definitely broken! There's no way thirty thousand battle power could kill Recoome!"
Burter also took a step back. He prided himself on being the fastest in the universe, but when Kaido swung that club just now, he hadn't even caught an afterimage. Guldo was so terrified he hid behind Burter, his four tiny eyes wide with terror.
Ginyu's expression darkened to the extreme. He reached up, ripped the scouter off his left eye, and crushed the delicate electronics into scrap metal with a single squeeze.
"Quiet." Ginyu's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable, oppressive weight. He stepped forward on his purple legs, pushing past Jeice and Burter to stand at the front of the group.
"Recoome was an idiot. He always relied entirely on physical strength and couldn't even tell when an opponent was hiding their ki. Dying because he underestimated the enemy serves him right."
Ginyu lifted his head, his narrow eyes locking onto the towering monster carrying the club. "However, you actually dared to kill a member of my Ginyu Force. And you dirtied the land I was about to present to Lord Frieza. For these crimes, your life won't be enough to atone."
Kaido stretched his mouth into a wide grin, revealing rows of sharp fangs. "Uworororo! I despise you chatty bastards the most. If you want to fight, roll over here and take your beating. If you don't, wash your necks and wait for me to chop them off."
The muscles in Kaido's right arm violently swelled. Black-red lightning wrapped around the Hassaikai once more. He stomped down hard, launching his massive body like a fired cannonball, kicking up a furious hurricane in his wake. His seven-meter size didn't hinder his speed in the slightest; in the span of a single breath, he was already right in front of Ginyu.
The Hassaikai came crashing down with world-destroying momentum. "Thunder Bagua!"
The highly compressed air let out an explosive shriek. The strike was so powerful it even created faint ripples of spatial distortion. Jeice and Burter felt a chill run down their spines watching from behind; neither of them would dare take a physical attack of this magnitude head-on.
However, Ginyu simply stood his ground, not even attempting to dodge. He merely raised a single purple right hand.
Bam! A dull, heavy impact exploded. The manic grin on Kaido's face instantly froze. He felt as though his club had smashed into an impenetrable wall of despair. Ginyu's seemingly unimposing right hand steadily supported the spiked head of the Hassaikai.
The black-red Conqueror's Haki lightning poured wildly from the club, but the moment it touched Ginyu's palm, it was completely scattered by an incredibly dense layer of white aura.
"Is this all you've got?" A mocking curve appeared on the corner of Ginyu's mouth. "This crude method of energy application is like a toddler just learning to walk. Let me show you what a battle power of one hundred and twenty thousand really looks like."
Before his words even finished echoing, the white aura enveloping Ginyu's body erupted violently. His presence surged to more than three times the intensity of Recoome's. The very earth of Namek trembled violently under this berserk energy.
Kaido's heart pounded. His Observation Haki screamed in warning. He tried to yank the Hassaikai back, but found his weapon locked so tightly in Ginyu's grip he couldn't budge it an inch.
Before Kaido could react, Ginyu's left fist moved. It wasn't a flashy technique—just an incredibly plain straight punch. Yet, the speed completely surpassed the limits of Kaido's Observation Haki.
Boom! The punch landed dead center on Kaido's abdomen. Kaido's famously formidable physical endurance—skin tough enough to shrug off cannon fire—was like paper before this strike. A terrifying, overwhelming force tore straight through his organs.
Kaido violently coughed up a massive mouthful of blood. His eyes practically bulged out of his skull. His massive seven-meter body flew backward like a ragdoll, tracing a long arc through the air before violently crashing into a rocky mountain several kilometers away.
The entire mountain collapsed upon impact, burying him completely in a thick cloud of dust.
From the sidelines, Jeice let out an excited whistle. "Beautifully done, Captain! Garbage natives like this should be crushed completely!"
Ginyu pulled his fist back and casually patted off nonexistent dust. "Too weak. He doesn't even qualify as a warm-up."
He turned toward the three Dragon Balls on the ground, bending down to retrieve them, when a deep, muffled tremor suddenly resonated from the distant ruins. Large chunks of rock were thrown aside as Kaido clawed his way out of the rubble.
He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and looked down at his caved-in stomach. The intense pain fired up his nerves, making the fierce glint in his eyes even more berserk.
"Uworororo! Interesting. That punch finally had some decent weight behind it."
With a mighty roar, Kaido's body began to rapidly cover itself in azure dragon scales. The horns on his head grew thicker and sharper, his jaw elongated to reveal savage fangs, and a massive, muscular tail whipped out from behind him.
Hybrid Form. This was Kaido's ultimate combat state, pushing the fusion of his physical strength and Devil Fruit power to the absolute limit.
He snatched up the discarded Hassaikai and kicked off the ground with both legs, leaving a ten-meter-wide crater in his wake. As an azure blur, Kaido charged at Ginyu once more.
"Destroyer of Death: Thunder Bagua!"
This time, his speed and power were double what they had been. The air itself shrieked as it was torn apart.
Ginyu watched the approaching half-human, half-dragon monster, a flash of impatience crossing his eyes. "Don't you get it? In the face of absolute numerical superiority, your flashy transformations are entirely meaningless."
Ginyu brought his hands together at his chest, rapidly gathering a highly condensed purple energy ball in his palms. He thrust his hands forward toward the airborne Kaido.
"Disappear, barbarian."
The purple energy sphere erupted into a massive, blinding pillar of light. With no room to dodge, Kaido had to bite the bullet and swing the Hassaikai down to meet the beam.
The black-red Haki and the purple energy blast collided violently in mid-air. The blinding light illuminated Namek's sickly green sky as bright as day.
The stalemate held for less than a second before the purple pillar crushed Kaido's Haki defenses with overwhelming force. The berserk energy swallowed Kaido entirely.
Rumble! A catastrophic explosion rocked the surface of Namek. A mushroom cloud several times larger than the last towered into the sky. The terrifying heat instantly vaporized the surrounding rock. The shockwave generated hurricane-force winds, forcing even Jeice and Burter to raise their arms to shield their eyes in the distance.
As the smoke cleared, a massive crater—hundreds of meters deep—was left gouged into the earth. The magma at the bottom bubbled and boiled.
Kaido lay near the edge of the pit. Large swaths of his azure scales had been blown off, exposing charred, bloody flesh. He lay there, panting heavily. Every breath brought a tearing agony to his lungs. Even his trusty Hassaikai had been snapped in half, the broken piece lying a dozen meters away.
His boasted regenerative abilities felt incredibly slow and powerless in the face of this high-dimensional energy assault. The gap was simply too massive. It wasn't a chasm that could be bridged with willpower or Haki alone.
A battle power of one hundred and twenty thousand. To the current Kaido, it was an insurmountable mountain.
Stepping on the air itself, Ginyu leisurely floated above the crater, looking down at the dying monster below. "Quite the tenacious life force. To take an attack with fifty percent of my power and still be breathing. But the game ends here."
Ginyu raised a single finger, a blindingly bright point of purple light charging at the tip, aiming directly at the center of Kaido's forehead.
"Take your laughable pride... and go straight to hell."
Lying at the bottom of the crater, Kaido watched the purple figure above him as his vision began to blur. The image of the humble tavern in Foosha Village suddenly flashed through his mind, along with Manager Blake's perpetually lazy smile. He remembered the absolute, soul-shaking suppression of that aura.
I am the man... who's going to become the strongest security guard in the Myriad Heavens! Kaido bit down hard, shattering one of his teeth. A desperate, primal ferocity ignited in his bones. He couldn't die here by the hands of this purple clown. He still had to bring the Dragon Balls back to exchange for the god-tier reward that would elevate his very existence.
