Chapter 620 TVA Today's Courtroom
Chapter 620 TVA Today's Courtroom
Gwen followed Ganata to TVA.
The familiar orange-yellow decor was still there; Gwen had seen it countless times over the years.
The two walked inside, asking for directions to Lyon along the way.
There are many people coming and going in TVA.
This place used to be full of Spider-Man characters.
But now the cast has become more diverse, with various Captain Americas, Carter, Wolverines... and even Nick Fury.
Therefore, when they address each other, they have to add their respective cosmic codes.
"Hello! Jean Grey, you're Jean from Universe 846, right? Do you know where Leon is? Oh... in the Inquisition? Thank you!"
The original purpose of the TVA's courts was to try and execute criminals of the time.
Before Loki gained control of the timeline, he was almost executed here.
After Loki took over, the regular visitors to the Inquisition became multiverse fugitives like the variant of Kang.
But now, its function is different.
Jarvis's sons hold court here every day.
It could be mediating internal disputes among TVA employees, or adjudicating crimes committed on the mainland.
Lyon just happens to have time to come here today to listen in on the proceedings.
The people on trial are Loki variants from multiple universes.
These Lokis include those that look like children, those that look like old men, and those that look like crocodiles.
Dozens of Lokis were crammed into the dock, like a can of herring about to burst.
Their crime today is—repeatedly endangering the personal safety of others despite repeated warnings.
"Boom!"
"Loki, do you admit that you formed a faction on the dimensional continent and repeatedly attacked others without provocation?"
After one of Strange's defense lawyers finished his defense.
Jarvis-controlled robot strikes the gavel.
Loki and his companions immediately shook their heads: "No, we have not formed a faction, nor have we attacked innocent people."
These guys are all seasoned veterans, especially that crocodile, which shook its head like a rattle.
"Cuck!"
In the plaintiff's seat, a frog wearing a crown flew into a rage upon hearing this.
It leaped up, gripped a hammer in its right forelimb, and pounded the table vigorously, cursing wildly in a fit of rage.
"Quack quack quack, quack quack quack quack!!"
“Ahem, my plaintiff says they are lying.”
The plaintiff's lawyer, She-Hulk, Jennifer (Banner's cousin), gently adjusts her glasses.
"Quack quack quack quack quack...!"
He said that the Loki were forming cliques across the dimensional continent.
"They appear and disappear unpredictably, their whereabouts unknown, but when they strike, one of Thor's kidneys is always severely injured. Loki's reputation as the 'Kidney-Cutting Party' is known throughout the dimensional continent."
"Quack quack quack...!"
"He also said that day, he walked out of Thor Town, intending to go to Central Town to kill the Hokki, but while he was eating hotpot and singing, he was attacked by this group of Loki."
"Quack quack quack!"
"Is there any justice left? Is there any law left?!"
"Cuck!"
"Today, he will speak out for all Thors and urge Lord Jarvis to do the right thing!"
Frog raised his arms and shouted from the dock, and Jennifer raised her arms and shouted beside him.
Jarvis glanced at the frog's nameplate from the judge's bench—666, Thor, the God of War.
“That makes perfect sense,” Jarvis said immediately.
As everyone knows, Thor was born to be poked in the back by Loki; they were born owing Loki a couple of ounces of kidney juice.
Lyon nodded in agreement from his seat in the gallery: "That makes sense, no problem."
Faced with the plaintiff, Frog Thor's, tearful and indignant accusations.
The defendants' lawyer, Strange, adjusted his glasses, cleared his throat, and began a new round of brilliant defense.
As Lyon was watching the commotion, two figures suddenly sat down on either side of him.
"Leon, Leon, you're here watching Jarvis's trial again?" Ganata rested her chin on her hand and looked around.
"Tsk, it's those Loki again."
Loki has become a regular in court.
I don't know where they found a lawyer like Strange, he's a master at litigation, and every time he manages to downplay their crimes with solid reasoning.
Ganata is not interested in Loki and his companions.
She glanced at him and hurriedly asked, "Aunt Death said you found my dad, is that true?"
Lyon snapped his fingers: "He's in the Fighting Realm now, let's go outside and talk."
The three figures flashed and appeared in the corridor outside the courtroom.
"Battle Realm? How could he have gone there... It's all thanks to Leon that you went to the Battle Realm to find him, otherwise who would have thought?" Ganata wondered.
Lyon waved his hand: "I didn't find it; it was a message sent back by a spy."
Gwen quietly interjected, "So we do have an intelligence agency?"
“That’s not true. He’s just a spy living in the Fighting World,” Leon said.
Gwen shifted her feet, moving slightly closer to Leon: "Why would we plant spies in the Battle Realm? Is there something we want to obtain there?"
Leon shrugged: "What good things could the Battle Realm have? As for why there's a spy, I don't know either, but he claims to be a spy."
"Who is he?"
"Deadpool."
"Then it's not surprising."
Gwen nodded in realization, but then looked somewhat confused.
"But didn't the TVA's equipment become ineffective in the Battle Realm? After all, Doctor Doom blocked it, and even the three Spider-Men lost contact before. How did Deadpool manage to send a message back?"
The Dutch spider, Garfield spider, and Toby spider are all in the fighting world, but have been out of contact for a long time.
Leon chuckled. "Normally they wouldn't work, but in Deadpool's hands, they inexplicably regained their functionality."
For Deadpool, who can break the fourth wall, this is just routine.
"Just recently, Devourer appeared in the Battle Realm, and Deadpool immediately sent back the news."
Lyon looked at Ganata: "If you're ready, then let's go see what's going on."
Ganata patted her chest: "I'm fine, let's get going. Dad might have lost control again because he saw a lot of life energy accumulating in the Battle Realm. We have to keep him under control!"
"I want to go too!"
Seeing that the two were about to leave in just a few words, Gwen hurriedly raised her hand to indicate her presence.
After she finished speaking, she stammered and tried to find an excuse: "Those three Peter Parkers are missing, right? If I go with you, I can... I can help contact them?"
“Alright.” Leon winked at Gwen. “Speaking of which, it’s been a while, Gwen, and you’ve grown your hair long.”
Gwen originally had ear-length blonde hair, but now she has long, straight blonde hair that cascades down to her waist, making her look stunningly beautiful.
Upon hearing this, Gwen immediately pouted: "You still dare to talk? You can't see anyone when you go to the Central, but I've been traveling to various worlds for decades, and I... um, Wanda, she misses you so much."
"Okay, it's my fault."
As Leon spoke, he raised his hand and created a portal that traversed time, reaching all the way to the end of time.
"Ready, girls? Let's go."
